I had the
Blue-Green Serpent:
No pictures this time. Kinda forgot to take any.

Bit sleepy, sorry.
I got lost four times trying to make my way into where they can be found, in the labyrinth outside the Temple of Atal'Hakkar, and then three more times trying to get out. I'd forgotten how much I hate that place.
Things I liked:
- Bright colors and shiny. Looks much better in person than it does in the website picture.
- It has a swimming animation. It moves in water much like one of those newfangled really long Cataclysm water serpents; looks quite smooth and natural.
- Not the first pet I ever had who had a special that works from range - but it's the first one I've actually ever noticed the animation for. Bright bolt of green poison, and the snake pauses a splitsecond while firing it so it's quite obvious.
Things I didn't like:
- Serpents in general creep me out. Not the fault of the poor creature, but...
- ...creepy face and constantly-flickering-in-and-out tongue...
- ...plus the constant hissing...
- ...plus the fact that even at my level (I was lvl62 so the pet tamed at 59) it's easily half again as tall as my goblin...
- ...well, eek.

Therefore I ended up letting this one go. It's a gorgeous creature, just not my type.
Another?
Vanity, level 63, no restrictions.

So i was given the challenge of the Black Wind serpent.
Now i have to say this. Yes, it does look black in a certain light...
But! He is mostly a dark shiny blue, with pink, and light blue highlights. All in all Very beautiful.
So i set down and actually had a little bit of a hard time finding this guy. I flew about for maybe 10 minutes. I dunno maybe they hid from me on purpose. *shrug*
But then there he was! Roaming majestically with the kodos next to the chasm of doom.
And so Glancing at him he didn't look too flashy. He did have a nice little tuft of feathers but was mostly scaly and slowly flapping around.
So i set down a trap, just in case he decided to get hostile, and started taking nicely to him and holding out a bit of beef. Apparently he doesn't want beef but Pie. So thus he attacked me! After a few bitter snaps he decided he liked me and with the promise of pie he came along nicely. We stood for a few and said good bye for a little while to his home turf with the promise to let him see it again.
So we went to Stormwind and he got his pie. We went with a few different groups of adventures to battle the undead, and a man made of air. After that somehow I decided he was one of the team. His color scheme grew on me. and the fact that he swims like he was born to it also helps.
After all this i have to say. I liked CloudZapper. He was very good at Swimming and Zapping people. His constant flapping started to get annoying to my friends so I made him sit on them as punishment for doubting his beauty. All in all a success. I like him. He has good Dps. He has a little trouble holding aggro but then he is better for pvp i think than taking down the big bosses. I'm going to keep him.
And on that note.

This time I was assigned the blue condor:
Flappy pets and I don't get along very well. I do love this skin, and I do like how smooth the wing animation is on the condors. But the constant flapping starts to make me a little crazy.
I had been on my way to UP for my daily blue protodrake run, and I stopped briefly in Dragonblight to grab one of these guys. Afterwards, I headed to Twilight Highlands for some questing.
I think how they look is great, with a lot of personality. I named him Codger.
He doesn't seem to have a "run" animation when following along with you. He was just stuck in hover mode. It wasn't until I sent him after something and he used Dive that he actually flew properly.
His special ability (screech that reduces damage done by surrounding enemies) would be nifty in dungeons, but it does have that screechy sound effect that goes along with it. Also, it acts as an aoe. Normally, this wouldn't bother me, except that he was only lvl 82, fighting against 85s, AND being non-Tenacity he was pretty squishy. So I would go after one mob, and his screech would pull another in the middle of combat, and I would be stuck mashing Mend Pet to try to keep him alive through it. Maybe if I were BM spec, he'd have been hardier.
Between that and his constant flapping, I was really starting to miss my beetles.
Here's a screenshot of combat with Codger.
Anyways... liked his look, liked his special (though I would probably only use him in instances), Ferocity is yay, but the few things I didn't like would probably stop me from ever keeping a condor (flapping, screechy noises, hover butt animation).

I'd like to go again!

So my littlest hunter had the challenge of this guy:
Being Alliance, I decided to go for the hardest version of this guy, so I aimed for the one in Mulgore. Left my Humar in the stable and tamed a throwaway pet, a brown hyena that I named Bob.
So I flew from Teldrassil to Northwatch Hold in the Southern Barrens. Ran across the Southern Barrens up to the Great Gate. Slipped around it through the left side, and was in Mulgore, no trouble.
Ran across Mulgore in the rain and while I stopped to study the wall blocking my path I had to wonder, why, given it's name, does it never seem to rain in Stormwind?!
So ran up the path leading to the moomoo's starting area, fully expecting to get tagged for pvp as I came around the corner through their little group there at the gate and found this....
Not at all what I expected. Hadn't been to this area on my littlest toon (itty bitty Horde druid I never play) so I was surprised by all the changes this zone faced. Tis the most drastic starting zone change that I've seen on the Horde side-admittedly I've only played the starting blood elf area since Cataclysm has come out, so I could be wrong.
So ran around, and found myself in a place called the Thornsnarl.
Found my pig and tamed him.
Then took him up atop one of the big spiraling thorns to survey the damage.
Been sitting with him while I write this and I must say, I didn't think the Boars would be at all cute, but he has some charm. I might go get one of the armored boars and travel around with him for a bit. Never actually used a boar, so we will see how it goes.
-----------
I'll take another challenge.
Gypsí, level 31 Night Elf Hunter. I favor cats and wolves, so if you give me one of them, I've likely already tamed it.

Oh the irony that I got the greay diseased bear when my main tanker is the brown diseased bear
Nevertheless, I went to Hillsbrad and tamed one of the grey diseased bears
http://www.wow-petopia.com/look/bearski ... eased.html.
I named him Zombear on account of his appearance. I love the diseased bear look to pieces as is and I took him around to do the dailies with me to get a feel for him. Being a tenacity pet I specced him for full tanking and he holds aggro like a champ! Taking on I think it was 6 mobs in an accidental pull in Tol Barad and me not pulling off him once! After that we swept through Deepholm, and Twilight Highlands with no problems at all, pulling 2 or 3 extra mobs to hasten the process.
He was great but I really still favor my brown bear so alas, Zombear had to go. Feeling it was right, I released him back to Hillsbrad to go back with his rotting buds and we went our seporate ways. But a sweet skin color and a good tanker for those looking
Another one for me please

Thanks again Tyger

I had the pink tallstrider for my challenge ( i dont have nay pics though this time sorry)
All in all its a great pet, one of the few i see hunters with unless its their starter pet. ( just from what i see). Dps wise its pretty good. I honestly cant think of anything to say bad about it....... * digs through papers* nope like i said all in all its a great pet, with growl and MD, i feel it held its agrro pretty good and there are a few color choices for this pet. I might go back and get me one, but i am having fun with the challenges lol. So imo, if you want something different and does good dps and is in the ferocity family, this is one of then :3 like i said i dont see many around but verys from server to server and the time you play.

No problem. Hope you didn't mind. I waited around for a while to make sure to give you a chance to update with rolls before posting mine.

After a bit of a brake from WOW I came back and went after the white saberworg, I was asked to catch.
Long story short.
1. Went to Howlinf Fjord
2. Found a Winterskorn Huntress
3. Tamed her Pet Worg under her nose.
4. Fed her to her former Pet
5. Got this picture
Next one:
Char Darkonis (Am I alloyed to use Twink If possible? My stable is slowly getting full)
LVL 85
Exotics Hell Yes
No rares that are overcamped right now (the others are fine). Nothing that requires a group to get to.

Kalhoun: The condors do look pretty cool but I can see how the flapping would get annoying haha. I have my game sounds on but they aren't very loud so my pet sounds usually don't bother me.
Merlyn: you really should go check out the completely new Troll starting area. Just like Gnomes got their own starting area, Trolls have their own now too. It's fun...much more fun than the belf starting area now.
Airwyn: I totally giggled and almost spit out my pop when I read "Zombear"; love the name.
Sili: If you went back to get another Tallstrider later, would you get the pink one or a different colour?
ZERO: "Fed her to her former pet" LOL!
Rooooooolls:
Kalhoun
Green Crocolisk
Merlynshade (Gypsí) (If you don't want to go into BFD I can roll an alternative)
Ancient Sea Turtle
Airwyn
White Moth
Siliverin
Orange Ravager
ZEROGOKI1983 (Darkonis) Yes you can totally use a twink too
Black Gorilla

I've tamed and tested my Rhino assignment but I haven't had a chance to post til now. Sorry!!
I have to say I have always been a fan of Rhinos since Wrath came out. I had had a gray one til I hit 76 and traded it in for the color changing (well at the time it was) Shardhorn Rhino in Sholazar.
But anyway, as soon as I got my assignment, I took the boat to Borean Tundra and found me a gray Rhino Bull. Color wise he is very similar to the blue rhino found in Sholazar, except the skin on his face and feet are different (see Tyger's post above)

I named him Floyd, since I already had the MD macro for my current Rhino on my action bar. I specced him purely as tank, because I wanted to compare how he did to my other Rhino's DPS/Tank hybrid spec. To test it out we went to Heroic Steamvaults to grind CE rep (I want mah Hippogryph!). We proceeded to get thoroughly lost, but this guy tanked everything like a champ.

- It amuses me to watch Rhinos swim with part of their body above the surface. It reminds me of a shark. (can you tell I was lost?)

Then we went to quest over in Twilight Highlands, where once again the Rhino proved to be awesome at tanking. He'd easily tank 3 mobs, though I would have to throw up Mend Pet every so often.
I have to say, ever since Cata came out, I have tried Beetles, scorpids, warp stalkers, and other tenacity pets. The Rhino is by far my favorite.
And I think I may like another.

I ended up being surprised by how much I like Manny. He's got this cute little charm to him, which I think is why I ended up keeping the blue one, there was just something in his eyes.
Plus, horn toss is funny as hell, especially on large mobs. XD And it interrupts spell-casting which is a plus since BM's a little lacking in interrupts.

Yeah...actually Floyd has become very popular in my guild and among others on the server. I think that if I were to ever abandon him (which will NEVER happen) there would be a lot of protest. <3 my Rhino.
OO Wind Serpent! This will be fun
