Lecturers and teachers tell me to do the best I can. I don't think I'm going to fail my course, but when I look around in class sometimes, I see people who are so, so much better than me. And it really puts me down, knowing that these people are going to be my competition for a job one day. I could probably pass the course if I wanted to but in the end all I need a job. I want a job in the game industry. But at this rate, with loads of people doing so much better than me, I'm screwed. And it's not fair.

you have been warned.
Working in a grocery store, dealing with people over and over. I hold no illusions that our race has many intelligent people left in it. I am not talking abut our self imposed "IQ levels" I am talking about basic awareness of the world around us. It doesn't matter what your profession is, or how many equations or languages you know, or if you can recite books from memory. People don't care about anyone around them, they do not care if they stop in the middle of an isle blocking everyone else around them, just so THEY can stare at something on a shelf, or chat with friends they run into while shopping, completely ignoring the requests from strangers around them to move out of the way.
People don't care if they have perishable items that they no-longer want, they just shove them on a shelf to sit and rot rather then put the item back (heavens fucking forbid they take responsibility for their choices!!!) or give it to an employee to put back, oh no, perishable or not it gets shoved on a shelf somewhere to rot.
And people who don't bother to read the price tags:
$3.49
cardholder pays
$0.99
when you redeem
500 points.
If you don't have enough points or you don't want to redeem those point you DON'T get it for $0.99. Arguing with me that the item scanned at the wrong price when you are the one who did not have the intelligence to pay attention, is a waste of my time and other peoples. And even when i show you the sign and you STILL argue...READ IT. Oh and then to accuse the story of tricking customers by not having clear signs...ITS PRINTED IN BIG LETTERS/NUMBERS, PAY ATTENTION!!
Its only the tip of the iceberg, its not confined to grocery stores or malls, its everywhere everyday. From the people who run other people over in cars, cut people off, run lights/stop signs, the man who damn near killed my daughter a week ago because he didn't stop at the crosswalk and we were half way across, then laughed as he speed by. If I hadn't stopped, my daughter would be dead. The people who run out in traffic like its a live game of frogger, instead of waiting for a lull in the traffic or walking forward 10 feet to the crosswalk.
People have little to no survival skills left, they live in the world of "Me" and that is all that exists for them. Greed rules all, little bits of paper and pressed metal matter more then our own health. Cut down the green things that filter our air and provide life-giving oxygen. Pave it over, drive toxic pumping vehicles everywhere, smoke toxic products, mass produce non-biodegradable things and dump them all over the earth, in the water, poison everything, pump chemicals into foods and feed it to the masses for cheap, waste food, water, while other places people starve painfully to death because they don't have the money to be someone.
Cut down pave over natural habitats and then label the animals that did live there as pests. Hunter them, shoot them, wound them and harm them because they are in our way. Not just on land but water to. we have the ability to raise our own fish on land, but its all about money. Shoot the seals, kill the whales, we want the fish they they depend on, troll the ocean, destroy the ecosystem. Throw away what you don't have permits for, or if you've taken more then your allotted amount.
Did you know, that there is not enough money to cover what everyone has? Its all virtual, doesn't even exist. We've spent more then we have, and have less them we think. Governments don't rule countries, Corporations do. Run by people who are to intent on lining their own pockets to solve world issues like hunger, disease, ecological disasters. 2013, we could fix it all...but we don't have the intelligence to safeguard our own survival. No, money is more important then our own survivability. We are all responsible, we all take part because none of use are willing to forsake what we have to better the world, we like our games, our elaborate housing, our delicious chemically produced/packaged foods, our heating, our cars, our money. Thus the degradation continues from generation to generation, trapped in this downward spiraling circle. Breathing toxic fumes, destroying innocent animals, wiping out complete species, stealing food from those that depend on it, killing each other, killing ourselves. Expanding beyond our planets ability to support us, population growing unchecked, a virus upon the planet consuming everything in its path. We are consumers, and we consume everything. Unless everyone stands up and says ENOUGH, it will not change. Something are changing, but slowly since corporations need to figure out how to make money off of it before the changes will ever happen.
Once, there was a time when we were part of the intricate dance of the natural world, part of it, moving in rhythm to the steady beat of survival. A part of the symbiotic balance. I curse the first monkey to use fire, to set in motion the slow destruction of all life on this planet. I hate my species with a passion.

I simply can't count how many times my exact thoughts and feelings centered around words like this! Just when I start to think there is a glimmer of hope left for humanity after all ... some f---tard comes along and blows it all to sh-t again!
I'm glad your daughter is ok. The fact that the guy was laughing would've caused me to rage so hard ... I'd probably would've been hauled off to jail after I was done with him!

I'm kinda getting sick of hearing people go on and on about how much they suck at drawing and will never get better but want too.
If you want to get better then practice every day and you will get better. Do you think all the greats out there just sat there with their thumbs up their bums or do you think they worked hard and practiced all the time? They worked hard and they showed people their work as a fresh pair of eyes is always good, A fresh pair of eyes can see things wrong with something you can't and if you are scared of showing your work to others for fear of what they might say I'm sorry but you have to get over that. Everyone starts off like that, trust me we all feel like that and it can be hard to get over that but it's just dragging you down!
Yes people can be harsh with their comments pointing out whats wrong with a drawing but that's a good thing. Use that to improve your drawing! Don't let it get you down! Use it to your advantage!
I know it's easy to just do nothing and complain and it can be hard to work up the strength to do these things but it's how you get better. I still do that I admit but I have improved lots over the last few years and it's not because I did nothing! you can do it too! Believe in your self! If you can't no amount of what others say will work!

LFR pisses me off so much.
1. Tank chain pulls the trash then rushes right to the boss without letting anyone buff up/eat
2. Tank doesn't say a word
3. Guildies defend him when he's called out on it.
4. Guildies votekick everyone who says anything against the tank
I'd say that's a bot and his guildies know it. I got vote kicked cause I called them out on it, as did my fiance.

G'nathus... I hate you so much. I can't kill you. I've tried everything I can.
I've formed a group with friends, I've tried kiting you with my hunter. Nothing works. All I want is your spawn to forever be my favorite battlepet of all time. Is that too much to ask?
So please, let me just stab you until you die and take your babies from you. Cuz this is getting old :C

No clue. I'd be on showdown, but the stupid thing keeps on making Safrai on my Ipad crash. >.>
My rant: gettin' rather sick of seein' such a normally good fandom go up in smoke as people start a fightin' over which creature is better since this new little teaser we got. It's gettin' old and very annoyin' to see it just 'bout everywhere. I'm so tired of it, my mid-west attitude is comin' out.

You know what I hate? Getting blamed. Espically when you miss the bus and your mother was to make sure your awake before she left.
...god dammit now she's going to say I'm irresponsible.
It wasn't my fault. Kinda.

I don't really know how many/few people are coming to my daughters 3rd birthday party tomorrow. I posted on facebook over a week ago, and then a reminder a couple days ago, but there's been only couple responses. I don't know how much food to have, or how many kids there will be. Kinda wish people would let me know if they are or are not coming. I am sorting things out into small trays so I can grab as needed, but I feel like i am going to have lots of leftovers...

At least it's better then knowing that nobody is coming to it. That's what happened with mine, those few who said they where going to come are now all going to the party that one of my mother's co-workers just yesterday announced that's on the same day...with the same theme. >.> seriously. My mother has been talking about my party for
months, and yet this women says it and in one day gets all the people to ditch my party and go to her child's. >.>

Seeing that whole "reverse racism" thing pop up on Tumblr. It's just silly really. Hating a white person is still racism. Also hating men is still sexism.
