My curiosity is peaked on the contents of the care package as well, I am really hoping its something extra special for the prolonged down time. Plus there is the albino hedgehog familiar. Partially counting on the care package to cover the lair expansion...

Considering their care packages before, I don't have my hopes set real high...

Well they did say they were going to take all weekend for the server move before everything else borked, so I'm not hoping for the site to actually be up anytime before monday, tuesday at the latest.

They worded this poorly, "server migration is fully completed on the weekend ending in Sunday, August 11."
Got people's hopes up too soon.

We've been working hard to prep for this weekend, and are now in full swing with the migration process. Over the next few days, we will be packing up, moving, and testing on the new hardware. Skydancer progress is going great! We currently do not have an exact time or rough estimate of when things will be fully operational, but as soon as we have the move signed off, we'll let everyone know.
Hope you all have had a nice week - we're excited to have you all back soon!
might be longer downtime

By the wording of their original post with the end date of August 11th, I believe they hope to have the migration finished by the 11th but bug removing and test running will probably take a few days more

Found this on Google. Apparently this was the original Imperial for the "prototype" FR from years ago. Thread with them can be found here:

i love those new imperials
Ohh and i have a little request..
once the site is back up, show dragon and sales and trades will explode. Could we all put our dragons side by side instead of below eachother thus ensuring that the thread doenst need to be bumped so many times with the same dragons? ppl could just number them instead so we have a not so fast moving sales and trades section ?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, Tarn? Most people put all their dragons in the same post regardless, unless they get new ones after it. If they went back and edited their old posts to add new dragons, it'd be much harder for those dragons to be seen and they just wouldn't sell. Compared to the actual forums, though, our little sales thread moves very slowly.(:
As for side by side, I actually find that it's easier for me to actually look at the dragons if they're each below each other. However, this doesn't affect the bumps of the thread at all...

Aye, I agree with Aela. The thread doesn't move that fast and the amount of bumps won't change just because the dragons are side by side, and since most of us use the larger images for the dragons since those are the easier click-through ones to obtain (making the small ones is a huge hassle for a lot of dragons), the images will end up under one another anyway and look cleaner underneath each other. But that's just my personal opinion.
The main problem with our sales thread is that people just aren't buying dragons from each other so a lot of us are ending up with extra stock because we don't want to try selling them on the AH and the sales threads on FR move stupidly fast and don't seem to really get hits unless you've got super shiny dragons in it or certain colors.

al i mean is that instead of putting them below each other like this
dragon
dragon
dragon
top ut them side by side like this
dragon, dragon, dragon...
that was all

i KNOW that dragons are hard to sell

was not a rant or anything just a little suggestions

if you put them side by side = shorter post = more post pr site

Tarn, I get what you mean, when the dragons are side by side, they take up less room then under each other which stretches the post and takes up more room. Less room=more posts per page, where as stretched means less posts per page and more pages to go through.
*edit, you beat me to it**
Those initial idea's for the imperials were what I was expecting to see on the site, since I was familiar with them from Neondragon's art books. The winged version is lovely, but I was sad that these lung dragons weren't kept.
I can see though that being wingless would have added needless complications in reguards to how secondary (wing) genes would work/display.

The below way of posting I really dislike when it's a lot of dragons. It always makes the page load slower for me then the other way.

Mmm, but as I said, it's harder for me to look at all the dragons that way and see what all their colours are. And, as Tyger pointed out, many will end up going under each other anyway, as there can only be so many side by side in a post. I've never noticed it having any affect on how the page loads. Sorry, but I'm not going to be doing that, and I sincerely hope no one else will. Trying to look at the dragons side by side gives me a headache, and it detracts from each individual dragon (as you're seeing their colours next to something else, instead of on their own, which can change your perception of those colours).
EDIT: And I'm pretty sure we have a set number of posts per page, so putting them side by side doesn't shorten the number of pages you have to go through at all.

Okay guys just post the way you want to I guess. I like side by side so I'm more then likely be doing that. Going downwards always makes my page load slower *shrug*

It looks neater (I just tried it to see if we even could) when they're side by side but as I don't really bother with dragons that don't have links leading to em or their colors posted, having the dragons horizontal and their colors vertical makes it difficult and annoying to figure out who is what. I have a hard enough time with that when people post the colors above the specified dragon as I always look underneath the dragon for their info XD
Pretty but not really all that conventional, will cause a lot of confusion for me (possibly others as well, but I cant speak for them) to try and draw mental lines from text to dragon unless each dragon is very different from each other and the breed name/gender is included with the text. If the dragons are all similar to each other (like, my mirror/fae pairing makes a lot of midnight/obsidian primary, ice-black secondary babies which often makes exact duplicates of their parents), it can be frustrating trying to figure out who is who if links aren't provided to each individual posted. Including breed name and gender def helps in most of these cases though but there are the odd encounters where they're close in color, hatchling, and link-less that has be scratching my head as to who is what (even now I have this problem half the time when people sell dragons on any forum with a FR thread, and tumblr)
/is late and tired, dont mind the extensive typing, I'm just kinda rambling as I zone out
/is gonna go to bed XD

If I have a clutch of four, like I did before the site went down, I personally like putting as
dragon, dragon
dragon, dragon
if only for the simplicity of it. But that's just me trying to be tidy

I usually don't have a problem telling dragons apart when referring to them, unless more than one has a similar base/secondary color combo, but I can see why just scattering dragons all about would be extremely confusing.
