Shalyth wrote:It looks neater (I just tried it to see if we even could) when they're side by side but as I don't really bother with dragons that don't have links leading to em or their colors posted, having the dragons horizontal and their colors vertical makes it difficult and annoying to figure out who is what. I have a hard enough time with that when people post the colors above the specified dragon as I always look underneath the dragon for their info XD

Pretty but not really all that conventional, will cause a lot of confusion for me (possibly others as well, but I cant speak for them) to try and draw mental lines from text to dragon unless each dragon is very different from each other and the breed name/gender is included with the text. If the dragons are all similar to each other (like, my mirror/fae pairing makes a lot of midnight/obsidian primary, ice-black secondary babies which often makes exact duplicates of their parents), it can be frustrating trying to figure out who is who if links aren't provided to each individual posted. Including breed name and gender def helps in most of these cases though but there are the odd encounters where they're close in color, hatchling, and link-less that has be scratching my head as to who is what (even now I have this problem half the time when people sell dragons on any forum with a FR thread, and tumblr)

/is late and tired, dont mind the extensive typing, I'm just kinda rambling as I zone out
/is gonna go to bed XD
Well i'd put them side by side with numbers too so you'd know what dragons go with what colours. To me it's not any more annoying then what others do.

What ever way you do it it WILL be annoying and confusing for someone else so really do what ever way you want to do it and tough shit to anyone who does not like it. I mean they would do it the way they like it after all and not the way you like it done.

I don't think anyone was getting heated; you can have a discussion with disagreeing views without it being people going for each other's throats. ;)

And Aela and I understood what you meant when you first suggested the idea, we just both personally happen to disagree with it (which is okay; we're all different people and different people have different views). Making everything work side by side just requires a lot of extra formatting to try and make it not confusing for people, but if some people want to post that way, then I'm certainly not going to stop them, I just don't know that I will make my posts that way.

I like those wingless imperials a lot; I wonder if they're the design the Windsinger is based on as I don't think he has wings. They could always make the secondary color base off the hair and belly and maybe some little wind clouds or something, or let putting a primary gene on it pull up in a secondary color. Not that I don't like our current imperials (they're gorgeous <3) but it's a shame not to see these lovelies get used, though I understand the complications in doing so with the way the game is currently set up.

It would be awesome to get some eastern dragon designs but some people have argued that such dragons would sorta 'break' the game in that they won't get a secondary and be able to use the secondary genes. The secondary color could be an easy fix, just give the breed some sort of markings or spines or other sort of details that can use the secondary color.

Unfortunately though the current secondary genes are designed for wings and most probably couldn't be applied artistically to a wingless dragon :( I love Lung dragons which is why I'm so damn excited to finally be on a list for a reasonably priced Imperial but I don't think we'll see any wingless dragons, despite Windsinger, Gladekeeper, and Earthshaker not having wings (but the gods have their own unique and unobtainable art so they don't count from a gameplay point of view)

Makes mah sad ._. That might of been why they gave the current Imperial artwork wings

Could always get water dragons with frill/fin deals to make up for it. :)

Easy fix no.2 give them those long flowing Asian beards. They could put the scondary genes on those and it would fit the theme as some asian dragons do ahve those kind of beards!

Hmm, that could work, maybe, not sure how they'd do Seraph but eye spots would look cool

I don't think eye spots and seraph would look very good on beards

Not many though, most are like the Lung dragons. Europeans were the ones to create winged dragons around (possibly before) the medieval era

Could we stop using the term "Lung dragon" it always sounds silly seeing as it means "dragon dragon"

I just say 'Asian dragon' since the type is common to more cultures than just China. Or Eastern/Western.

I'm used to saying Lung dragon as all the Asian dragons I've ever seen art of look like that one to me XD It's just something I've used all my life that no one's questioned but I'll try to use 'Asian dragon' instead, if I can catch myself

They've made a few posts on Facebook saying basically 'it'll be up when it's all working properly'. I'm just really hoping that they don't open it up and then it explodes. XD

I was actually gonna buy some gems too. Though... I also just bought a racechange for someone in WoW so now I'm dithering...

I went to go use it and the page wouldn't even load. Dunno if it's an issue on my end or theirs. Shame I missed out on it.

Of course, after I post that it goes and works. -_-

Nef - Xiuh and Mephisto managed to squeeze two eggs between them, so one for each. In five days (well, four, since I managed it before reset), we'll have our new Ridgies. <3
