I love all Final Fantasy, but the FF7 game/games/story-line/movie are by far my favorite... =)

I remember when I first saw stags in this game...I didn't know they couldn't be tamed and I wanted one so bad. I was so disappointed!

I felt the same way about the spirit darter (dragonkin), The first time I saw one I hit beastlore...untamable...darn! Same for talbuks, I love them and wish i could tame one. the stags though...well...we never got off to a good start...you see, they likes to kill me, the "neutral" is a lie!!!! er...*cough*...yar bad 'noob' experiences with stags.

Spirit beasts though, are an awsome concept...but they really need to make more original models for them like Loque was...the old model/new skin combo is a bit of a downer (im my opinion, I know some of you like the old models) I just would like to see blizz expand more on what they can do with the game - graphic wise/design wise.

the recent "shiny" glitch with patch 3.3.3 gave a glimps at something that might be interesting for them to experament with...I mean, even adding the liquid metal highlights to certain things would give a huge visual boost to the otherwise flat/texture look of the game.
Imagine a Spirit beast with a liquid metal appearance.

personally, I'd love a spirit beast hyena, or warp stalker. Those are about the only 2-models I actually really want to tame for a spirit beast...unless they did a hydra or other "untamable" beast model...Talbuks anyone?

That leaves Icecrown (spiders & wolves), Dragonblight (bears, birds of prey, carrion birds, hyena's, worms, & crabs), Borean Tundra (birds of prey, carrion birds, crabs, turtles, moths, rhino's, wolves, & worms), and Howling Fjord (bats, Birds of prey, carrion birds, Bears, chimeara's, crabs, spiders, wolves)

Why does it just leave Northrend areas? Remember, Cataclysm is going to change the world as we know it. Why not put a stag spirit pet in Moonglade? It'd give me a reason to go there with my hunter as opposed to only using it as a 2nd hearth for my druid. Remember, we'll be able to fly around the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, so anything is possible. Think of the possibilites. Hell, if the world is getting flooded, why not a spirit Orca or shark?

Harry's Patronus was a stag, Jame's animagus was a stag. So either or works.

Red XIII! Nanaki! Loved his story, was very sad though. Red was the most unique FF character ever, he even beat out Umaro and Mog from VI for being unique. Pity we haven't seen anything quite like him since.

On topic! Small bubble burster, but for THIS expansion, I don't think we'll see anymore spirit beasts. Though that observation goes along with Blizzards past history of only releasing spirit beasts on major patches, and this IS Blizzard we are talking about. We could possibly see one with the release of 3.3.5.

On to the actual question! A wolf that doesn't use the crappy starved Northrend skin. I HATE that look. A moth! I want a spirit beast moth! Or croc. That might amuse me.

Well, taking it that Snape's Patronus was a doe, because Lily's was a doe, I'm assuming that Jame's patronus was also a stag, which only makes more sense after looking at his Animagus form, which is commonly the same creature (McGonagall is a tabby Animagus, and summons 3 tabby cat Patronus in the Last Battle)

Now that I think of it... if they wanted to make a stag spirit beast, they could use the area around Exodar. There are lots of moongraze stags out there. PLUS, it would finally give people a reason to go there. lol Wait, wasn't that the same thing I said about Moonglade? rofl

@fuzzydolly: the reason why I only listed SB areas for northrend is because at this point in time, thats where all the SB's are. However, there is talk that I heard about SB's coming to azeroth in cataclysm.

I love love love FF7!!!! I even still remember parts of the game like I just plaid it yesterday. A spirit raptor or snake would be really cool since there's already one covering the cats, bears and wolves. But yes a spirit hyena would be cool looking. Like an all black hyena with a blue or red glow. That would be uber cool!!!

I want a female wolf spirit beast that has light blue/white fur. And I don't want a northrend worg, old world worg, or regular wolf re-coloring - I want it to be unique and new!
I think a spider would be an awesome spirit beast, too - if you had it be like a constalation (stars at it's joints and thin blue lines connecting them to form it's legs and sorta ghostly blue body) - I think there was a spider spirit beast drawing on the old forums.
A gorilla/boar/firefly spirit beast would be cool, too. Give the less-used pets some love!
There was also some art somewhere of an owl spirit beast..... oh, so many pets I want!
And I want a spirit beast devilsaur, too!

Of course, none would be able to tame all of them because of stable space

And a stag spirit beast would be plain win (fingers crossed they make 'em tamable - I wanted one so much on my first hunter and was very sad that they couldn't be tamed)

Edit: And I want a hyena spirit beast, too! And a blue-furred tiger (not neccisarilly a spirit beast tho)! Maybe a ghostly crab.... Oh, and a bat spirit beast would be so sweeet!!!

A scorpion spirit beast would make sense because there's a constellation. Maybe one like the bright blue scorpion or the silver-blue one but more transparent or electrifying. Maybe both.

I would probally go for a netherstalker spirit beast.. Like, A really shimmery black or something. And he could be well camoflaged in the night *nod* I might have even went for a worm, Or even better, A Rhino!
