on Arathor, theres a poor Ribid Hyena thats been stuck under the sand since cata, I put in a ticket about it and the GM responded an hour later saying the poor beast had been freed from the sands and is now able to enjoy the sun...sadly when I went to say hi to the fellow, he was still under the sand.

Lol damn GM saying things just to be nice xP Ever since vanilla poor beasts and ores/herbs spawn inside objects and neeever can you pull them out

So far no rarespawns have had the unfortunate mistake of spawning into such a predicament but you never know... o.o

Actually, I did come across a rarespawn who had spawned underground. This was pre-Shattering, in the graveyard where Uther's Tomb is, so I bet that the rarespawn (an undead human of some sort) was either moved to another part of the zone or removed entirely. Anyways, I'm riding through there on Cialbi, who is level 80 at the time. I must have been working on Argent Dawn rep or something; can't remember exactly what. I find that one of the dots on my minimap has a name. So, curious, I clear the area, and try to find this undead guy. Nope, no luck. I then use a /target command, and sure enough, he exists, and looks like he's a rarespawn too. I look him up on Wowhead; turns out that it's not uncommon for him to spawn underground. No clue why or how, though.

So I rolled a baby moopally.
And evidently, the quilboar in Mulgore have trained their boars to fly.
(I'm sorry it's dark. They've changed the night-time shaders in some of the zones, and this was taken at like 1am.)
He was actually stuck up there, several feet above the fence, madly attacking something that wasn't there. Frustrated, maybe?

Ah yes, they sometimes spawn on top of that fence. If you oneshot them, then they're impossible for even a character as tall as a Tauren to loot, so they stay there for a while. Kinda annoying, but I digress. Your take on that was funny, though.
