Tallstriders!! I love them! I have two on my stable: Mazz and Clutchmother.
I hate to see everywhere in Azeroth poor tallstriders hanging like a chicken at a butcher's shop :'(

I'm surprised no one has mentioned wasps (I guess that's the point of the post lol)! There are some totally kick ass skins, especially those new ones. I think it might be a little annoying with the buzzing but its sort of soothing. Also, I totally dig the portable lava lamp thing out in the middle of nowhere at night.

So Veeka was previously Veera, a Draenei hunter...who was also a moth.

This explains a lot. *ponders*

Sporebats, tallstriders, worms!!!

I once tamed a sporebat on my main - the poo brown one. He was awesome. I loved him because he was dead ugly and I just found it hilarious. Then I felt mean... I mean, he wobbled along beside me as good as he could, and he loyally fought to the theoretical death for me. But after a while his blandness and uselessness-of-ability just got to me, and when I needed the stable slots, off he went. I can handle having useless but awesome-looking pets, or unappealing but useful pets, but not ones that I dislike in both categories. If more interesting colours were introduced, though, I'd be taming his "re-blobbed" version at the speed of light.

Tallstriders, love. I levelled a hunter purely to get a tallstrider (she's a worgen and has a white one). I love everything about them from their looks to their animations, but again, they have so much potential for skins, recolours or models and nothing is really done :(

I tamed a pink worm because it looks like a certain male bodypart and that amuses me (and my boyfriend). I called him Frankie: "Frankie is standing upright and spitting at the mob LOLOLOL". I'm very fond of him. Worms in general... to be honest, the vanilla ones have ugly faces imo, their noses are too much for me. And the Northrend ones are too hairy and don't have ENOUGH face for my liking. But their animations and the personality they reek of is just so endearing... similar to boars: cute and sweet, although they may be useless, they're addictive to have around.

Chimaeras? I don't remember I ever seen a hunter with one of them since I play. I have one and I find him amazing!

Im not sure myself but I would look to spread the love for unloved pet familys I guess
not stuff like sporebats (Theres soo many lovers on petopia...of course no offence to anyone who is this is a love thread for the 'unpopular' pets)

So Familys like gorillas
Bats
Moneys
Neither rays
moths

The pets that are hardly mentioned, I have a neither ray and a monkey myself and I absolutely love them
Any love for pets you guys have that no one else seems to have
Hehe, I dunno about you guys, but I happen to like money. :P

Seriously though, out of those, I wouldn't say I necessarily dislike any of them, but most of them I just simply haven't bothered to tame because I find them unappealing. That is, however, except for moths. It wasn't until just recently that I found I liked them, but when I tamed a blue one on a hunter alt, I fell in love with her. She's so bright and entrancing, I felt like I could stare at her all day. So then, on Rhyela, I tamed the red one with green wings and named her Dreamwing. I haven't used her, but I like her very much.

Oddly enough, I think perhaps my least-favorite family in the game is the bear family. I don't know what it is, but I've never been able to bring myself to like them. I think I've tamed one of every color on many different hunters, and I just...hate them. I don't know what it is.

Most of my favorite pets would fit in this thread, I guess.

Tallstriders have more personality than almost any pet, though maybe only if you speak bird. WoW got "bird language" just right for them, the way they fluff and preen. I love the brown skin, particularly the way it blends with the pink and the blue near the head. I was shocked to see that the brown tallstrider is near the bottom on Petopia's looks contest. My tallstrider, Fang:

Image

Mary is my old-school crocolisk. She has the prettiest coloring of any crocolisk, I think, particularly the way the green and yellow work on her sides. Mary:

Image

My newest acquisition is my "gray" scorpid, whose name I'm still working on. When you stand next to him, the red in his scales flickers just like flames. He's such a handsome boy:

Image

No pet makes me laugh more than TipTop, my gull. I haven't taken any other pets into PvP just because he causes such funny reactions, such a little critter, chasing armored warriors and rogues, he's not intimidated:

Image

I love the brown serpent skin, again because of how the browns and yellows and blacks work together. I love his intelligent face and that cool flicking tongue. I feel like an evil mastermind when I have him out. But I hate fighting with him, because he spits acid from right by my side, which causes the mob to come right up to me. I'd much rather have a raptor for the same buff, because the raptor chases down the bad guy and keeps him at a nice distance. So I don't think I'll every name my serpent, despite how pretty:

Image

And then I love BigDog, my coyote. I just never see this wolf, but I like him because I love the coyote animations more than the warg ones, and because he looks the most like a dog, which is what I really wanted when I tamed him. He just looks like some cross between a malamute and a collie:

Image

Okay, I'll stop now, but I have a few other pets that are in Teigan's "unloved" stable, like the brown lynx, who I think is one of the prettiest cats. I'm about to get my first gorilla, and of course I want the red one: another in Teigan's stable.

How about the brown eagle? He's probably my favorite pet, and I haven't seen another of those, (though I've been off in the boonies, levelling...hardly make it to the big city). Does he qualify as an "unloved" pet?

Bears. I love bears! My first pet was a bear and one of my favorite pets is a diseased brown bear. I've seen people point out the faults in the model but I can't bring myself to see it, I love my Pustulio bear  Also had a tallstrider named Peeps (he was the pink one, get it? Peeps? ) loved that birdie but I let him go to make room for Ashtail, going to retame him on my baby hunter. And lastly the coyote models, love those so much, my favorite of the wolf models. I have a diseased wolf that I love to bits!

One pet family that I loved but couldn't get my hunter to click with were the snakes. She had 3 different ones but she didn't click with any of them. I have one now but he's only a placeholder for Krush.

Heeey... I love moths. My Siona would have a permanent home in my stables if she weren't so danged useless...

While I mostly get comments from random people for my more showy pets, I actually got a comment on my brown tallstrider while leveling her. A warrior was grinding the same mobs as me and whispered, "Wow I never see that pet tamed. They have such pretty blue eyes."

I love tallstriders as well, always have. Even when they had hardly any skills to speak of, I still adored them. Believe it or not, I think my favorite is actually the gray one:

Image

Even though I have the Strider Clutchmother, it's not my favorite skin. I love the mob itself, kind of a long and sentimental story. But the gray one, even though the body is plain, I just love the bright pink and blue highlights on its neck.
