An Orc with Deathmaw, worg pup, and the matching mount would look lovely! XD

Mrh. Guess I'll be the naysayer. I'm not pleased about this. Guess I'll have to make all my land mount buttons with a /dismisspet macro built into them.

Oh goodness, if there was one thing I was missing since they took it out in BC, it was this. Being able to have Trip run asside Slumlost as he adventures, bliss. <3
Even better, the thought of a worgen hunter with their pack running along behind them. Joy!
Grah, this is shaping up to be an awesome patch. I really want to get back into the game now. XD

You do realise what this means guys and gals, this joy of joys at the cosmetic return of our beloved pets at our side, may simply be the bi-product of a bug fix that has been plaguing us for such a long time. In fact it only started the last time they took our pets away, and they have never (despite knowing of it and I'm sure trying their best to solve it) have been able to fix.
The Pet Stat Bug!
Currently when we mount and our pet spawns it does so with diminished stats until the coding catches up and adds it's lvl, our stats, etc. This can sometime take up to a few seconds and quiet easily kill a pet that has not adjusted yet before entering combat. The number of pet deaths I have felt responsible for due to this bug makes me very sad indeed
If this change is truly intentional on blizzards behalf, the pet bug that has plagued us for years, will be once and forever...DEADish! (I hope) /cheer!

Now I know that it may still occur when we call our pets from after being dismissed, but from my personal experience the main time that deaths became a problem was when I dismounted off mount and my pet rushed in. I'm still just so excited about having my pet back at my side

...unless you take off on a flying mount, which happens rather often nowadays.

Yeah I understand that also, but from memory, that was sadly always the case, even in vanilla regarding the calling out of ones pet from being dismissed. (I also relised this and added and edit to my last post ^^)

This is currently live in BGs, which is a great thing for hunters. I've had my pet die way too many times because my white phase hound didn't get his stats updated quick enough as I dismounted. Frost mages and warlocks also have this neat new feature available
The reason why it's not live for everything else is probably caused by the whole flying mount ordeal.
