I am pretty sure "The most powerful of them all." just means he is gonna be the hardest to tame and will have the coolest looking skin. I am looking at these new pets as more a 'status' symbol of your hunter abilities and taming abilities.

Same haha. I think by "most powerful" they mean, the most powerful native pet PRE-Tame. The normalization effect still happens!

Was gonna drop BM and go SV/MM as soon as I get my T11 shoulder, now I guess I'll keep BM for a little longer =)

The one in the preview though, Deth'tilac, sounds a lot like Beth'tilac, the spider raid boss from Firelands.

I hope they're not all spiders, being an insane arachnophobe.

Everytime I think I'm done with the rare hunts of Kurenio THEY PULL ME BACK IN. Time to free up enough spots looks like my baby hunter will be inheriting more of my mains pets. I mean I think they already got 6 of my old pets that I don't Really use with Kurenio, but would with them.

Remember your Rhok'delar Bow Quests and those pesky demons? How they all required different strategies, kiting, traps, DPS, CC, timing, (a little luck), every trick a hunter had on him or her at the time were challenged. This may or may not be the direction they are going with this, but if they did... /gasp! It would be every so grand to be able to have a pet avalible that is what the equivalent of what our Rhok'delar bows used to be.

Can you just imagine.... so very cool!

They mean "most powerful of the eight creatures", not "most powerful of all pets". That translates to "You think taming the other seven was hard? This one makes them look easy".

Geez, I really didn't see this coming! I had to double check if it was April Fool's day again

I hope that there will be some variation between the rares. It would be boring if all of them were fiery. Otherwise it would be fine but I have a grey pet theme going on with my current main char and fiery pets don't really go with it. Though If Deth'tilac will look like Beth'tilac I guess I'll have to make an exception.

Well if they make it based on the mobs there or what not.

The possibilites is that new fire scorpion, a new fire turtle (maybe re colored), new corehound, blue spider, spider boss model, firehawk.. I am hoping for one of those skele dogs ^.^

This this this this this this this. I was so bummed that I didn't get to do those quests at level/in vanilla. This will be AWESOME.

Should be interesting to see what these new Rares are.

Hey, dyou reckon the stable masters will notice if we squash up our current pets and make them share a slot? I'm quite sure no one would notice my spirit beasts or cats piled on top of each other... and if my wind serpent coils up he could fit in with my dragonhawk I'm sure...

zomg someone get doctor marrio playing in the background every time you open your stables... i know they are different games but i got the combo pack and now whenever i play tetris all i can think of is the music for doctor marrio

Let's hope for something fluffy and not all insects or spiders...there are already enough for my taste
