it kills u through deterence but it has a cast bar and if he starts casting it while ur in melee range u can simply move out of hit hitbox and it will cancel the cast. although i didnt try standing in it as much as i could so i duno if i was just lucky the few times that it did happen

This looks like a nice enough pet to want to tame (Despite my arachnophobia...) but being on a RPPvP realm, this'll never happen.

i wonder if you could have him kill your pet, res pet. repeat til he was low enough to tame. maybe thats how ur spose to do it

Maybe get a few friends to come over and die for you enough times until you can tame him?

yeah, if they dont phase this thing, its going to be a nightmare. how many threads do we have on the forums about ninja kills and mid tame kills etc? granted this thing cant be killed so easily, but realistically I dont expect to be able to get it. I really doubt I will have 30+ minutes by myself with a high competition pet like this. oh well, thems the ropes!

I'd guess you can feed him other players (did you try getting him to aggro your pet or the snakes from Snake Trap ?) and tame him that way. Otherwise it does seem to be very very hard.

Oh wow. What an amazing skill-tame! I can't bring myself to call it a 'trick' tame, because kiting for that long is really an accomplishment.
So...my hunter is deathly afraid of spiders. But loves blue bugs. Hmm... *I* want to try for the spider. What an epic tame that would be!
Tanin: No. Nevah. Dat ting is a spidah! You can color it up blue an' set it on fire, but it's still a spidah.

So, does this mean the easiest way to tame him is to bring along 9 "friends" and then just start the tame with a ice trap thrown down?
How long is his instant death cast? If he gets in melee range before the tame goes off, will he kill you?
