The point is though, these rares were specifically made for Hunters. If you would read the PTR patch notes, it says so. Thus, your argument of Rares being for everyone is rather invalid, and you can't even call me biased, b/c normally I agree with that argument.

There is also a difference between a griefer and a rare hunter... If a person purposely kills a rare for the sake of spiting someone else, such as many of the stories we hear at Petopia, then they have every right to call the person a griefer, b/c that's what they are. I agree that if someone gets there first, it's their choice, but there HAS to be a line, otherwise you might as well give griefers free reign to be douchebags to the edge of the world.

Also, there is NOTHING wrong with being disappointed, or even a bit mad/sad that someone killed the rare you want, regardless of whether or not they got there first. I've been upset and I've been sad for this reason, it's completely a valid reason to be upset. I do think it is this person's responsibility, however, to not go around screaming negativity at someone for an honest mistake, or even for killing it purposely if they got there first. The person, if do anything, should mention to them that they've been camping it, and share their disappointment civilly, at least then they may teach the rare hunter to ask around first.

I think everyone needs to chill the f*ck out, take deep breathes, and remember that it's a game, and that this place should be a sanctuary from the rest of the WoW forums/sites that have all gone to sh*t, and NOT a contest to see who can be the nastiest when they disagree with something. Kalliope has been amazing as a moderator, and I agree with a lot of her posts, and there was no need to jump down her throat for trying to ice this conversation. Got a problem with her moderation? Send a PM, don't call her out personally. Sometimes changing the subject is the best way to diffuse a situation.

Actually, she doesn't have any moderation access anymore. It's Mania and her "outside help" now.

She may not be able to moderate a thread itself, but at least she has a sane voice of reason, and a cool head that tries to keep things civil.

Yeah, Kalliope truly was an amazing mod. I fondly look back on the days when posts got censored without announcement. That was awesome, because we really need to be taken care of like that. Oh, or when people got banned for absolutely pointless reasons, which was fair because they really had it coming, to dare disagree like that! Oh, or a related point to that one! When she and her posse ganged up and bullied down the three people who dared disagree, because really, they dared to have an opinion different from that of the main group! That was really good, because we all need to be the exact same way and not have different opinions because different opinions means that maybe we'll get new kinds of innovative thinking, and really, that can't be allowed!

Sigh, why does it have to decend to this. Sat, you're bang out of line for what you said. I don't agree with Kalli's view (concerning rares and griefing), but no one has the right to say what you did! It had no relevance to this topic and only caused more grief. The discussion was going nicely, albeit a little warm under the collar.

People have their rights to view there frustations on this forum ( the origunal OP of this thread), just as I have the right to give a counter argument. I'm sadden my your actions Sat and I for one would like to see an apology on these forums from you.
