This is not going to make us MM hunters Obsolete? i mean this dps rise is good for BM and all but i wouldnt like to become the new spec that gets kicked out for being it.

Definitely not.
Marks is still ahead of the other two (especially since it's the most mobile of the specs, which lends itself to many fights in this expansion), but now BM is right up there with survival.

The less then 10% diff between the two specs is nice.

Indeed Snowee. You can turn them in for marks that give 250 honour when used. Those marks only stack to ten and are unique. Even for me, a casual PvPer, it took half an hour of buy, use, wait 3 seconds for cd, use.
Guh.

Ugh, this sucks for macros....bleh.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. -_- *sigh*
Just for some clarification - the Rapid Fire change is
not what we thought.

It can still be used in a macro.
Quoting from the new
Scattered Shots article:
Rapid Fire
Okay, the patch notes say this:
Rapid Fire: Now triggers the global cooldown correctly.
At first you might think this means that Rapid Fire now triggers the global cooldown... 'cause, you know, that's what it says. This is not what the change was however (and wow would that have been bad news if it was). It used to be that Rapid Fire did not trigger the GCD, but it could not be used during the GCD. Meaning if you cast Aimed Shot, you'd have to wait 1.5 sec before you could use Rapid Fire -- but you could then use Rapid Fire and instantly hit another shot.
Now Rapid Fire still doesn't trigger the GCD, but it can also be used during the GCD. So you cast Aimed Shot, but you don't have to wait at all -- you can use Rapid Fire on top of the GCD, just like Silencing Shot. This is a nice little change that make it easier to use.

It's just confsuing to me... Why would they phrase it that way, other than to be mean to us?

Yeah, very poor phrasing. >< Made it sound like it was the total opposite from what actually happened.

Basically, what they MEANT was:
Rapid Fire now triggers the global cooldown CORRECTLY....by not triggering it.
So instead of screwing up our macros, this change actually fixes them. xD (I'll still be hitting mine twice to toggle Call of the Wild off again, though.)

I've noticed that several types of mount have had thier looks redone (horses, sabers, wolves, Qiljar battle tanks etc), giving them more of a metalic look. This also seems to have effected a number of weapons, and pets as well. I've noticed the Ramparts wolves now have metalic armor, and crabs (atleast the blue one I saw) looked to be made of liquid metal. Colorations seem to have changed on several vanity pets, and other beasts.
I thought to check out silithids to see if they have gotten this metalic look like thier counterpart mount model, but it doesn't appear to be the case.
I am surprised that scorpions weren't hit with the metal look.
I am curious to see what other changes people have noticed...especially pet skin changes!!

Actually, the "shiny pets" bug is just a bug with reflections, not a new skin. Tough it would be fun...

One thing I noted about Ferocious Inspiration is that in a recent HoS I ran... It's getting overwritten by Arcane Empowerment. Although, I'm not sure if that prevents me to receiving the bonus to Arcane Shot or Steady Shot.

awww its a bug? that sucks, her eI though we'd start getting technopets

Still, in the mean time, running around Shiny pet hunting is fun! Any indication when this may get corrected?

I'll take a chuckshot and say before next week is over. They have plenty o' bugs to fix, involving the annoying "stuck at loadingscreen" one.

It shouldn't prevent the bonus.
There's all sorts of passive auras now, so I'm theorizing that Blizzard designed them in such a way so that the "aura" part is the raid buff and the passive stuff just goes directly on the player.
Now all they have to do is change trueshot aura to a fake aura and I'll be happy.

Trueshot aura still need to be activated by the hunter, unlike the new passive auras for other specs/classes. If your pet is out as BM, you have the Ferocious Inspiration buff up. If you're a blood dk with Abomination's Might, it's up all the time. They don't need to be turned on. TSA still does.
