They dont aggro unless you attack them :]

Least, Kirix and Solix didnt when i went into petting range of them (lol )
Oops, I totally missed seeing this post. Err, that's not actually true. Only the spirit beasts are neutral. All of the rares in the Front will attack you when you're in range. Skarr and Karkin attack from a few rocks away, but the spiders have fairly small aggro ranges. However, that does not mean you should go riding through them (not that I've EVER done that....cough), because then they WILL aggro you and eat your face off.

There's also Madexx, I believe.

To be honest, I have absolutely no idea what I would do if I ever came across any of the Cata tameables while leveling one of my millions of alts... Of course if there was anyone else nearby, I would leave them with the rare - but let's assume I'm the only one in the zone and don't know anyone who would want to tame the bugger.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the rares give just as much experience as the non-tameables - so for a leveling toon it would be some really fast xp. As someone who's leveled *counts* six toons to 85 and currently has two between 80-85, I'm absolutely sick of all the Cataclysm zones and the quests in them. I haven't had a chance to test my reaction, but I might actually go for the kill, just to make the leveling process a little bit shorter. Of course if it was on a max-level toon, I would never kill a tameable rare, but rather start whispering through every single Hunter of the appropriate level I can find until someone either swoops down to kill the rare themselves or I find a happy owner.

However, to me there is no good reason to kill the new rares introduced in 4.2, unless it's a) self defense (i.e. this huge spider aggros on you when you pass by a bit too close, knocks you off your mount.. kill or be killed) or b) you not knowing any better.

Edit: Lol, karma it is... Right after posting this post here, I came upon Sambas on my Mage who needed another half a level for 85. Mind you, this is the first time I have EVER seen him in the wild on live. Couldn't do it.. Instead just floated there, hoping no horde would notice us, whispering random Hunters and explaining to them "wtf is Sambas?".
