Taken directly from Ponderance's website and I can confirm it's true. Take out 50410 from your NPC scan so you're not picking up the fake/dud camel figurine otherwise you'll go insane. Good luck.
"50410 100% of the time turns into Crumbled Statue Remnants.
50409 100% of the time will teleport you to The Steaming Pools, where you will have 30 minutes to fight Dormus the Camel Hoarder in a different phase than anyone else can join."

I did think about that but when I find a fake I know not to waste my time looking for at least 6 hours.

Hm, wouldn't it be better to leave the fake ID in though? Simply because, if a dud figurine is picked up you can always check in your NPCscan to see if the fake one has been cached, and if not, go search for where it is. That's how my friend got her second Camel. Plus, it saves you having to fly around the whole of Uldum while a fake one could be sitting there. At least you'd have a rough idea of when the next spawn would be.

To me, taking out the fake ID is like taking off Vyragosa or Blood Seeker... you're wasting your time.

Woo, I just got him! It was a Waterfall spawn, I almost lost him to a Horde mage as my tag hit him just before I flew out of range. Finally I can leave those horrible Storm Peaks

Since for the camels I think the best option is flyovers several times a day I am finally free of camping (maybe I'll do Poseidus though).
