Was going through staves today and thought I'd share some of my favourite picks.

Apocalyptic Staff - almost an elongated mace, I love the straightforward spiky design

Life-Staff of the Web Lair - black and white with a simplistic but attractive crescent shape

Staff of Infinite Mysteries - very beautiful Outland style weapon with purples, blues, and blacks (Deth'tilac colouration )

Staff of Natural Fury - another simple design, a black wooden staff with a runed silver shape on the end

Ahhhh, I forgot this one! The wings FLAP; highly recommended.

Riftstalker (my favoritest hunter tier because it's blue and flashy and blue) and Rhok'delar (FLOWERS and epic hunter quest), to start with. Made a good amount of headway collecting the tier last night (just need gloves and then to figure out miscellaneous pieces to match)!

They are called Defiler's Mail Pauldrons and can be bought off from Rutherford Twing Defilers Supply Officer in Arathi Highlands for 130 honor points. They have been my favorite model ever since I started back in vanilla.

Ah, too bad only Alliance can get the Chillwind staff! It's really beautiful.
My worgen mage has one that uses the same model.

You're right that the Staff of Dominance would look great with the Dragonstalker set. *nods*

Season 1, I already started to get the pieces, now I only need the gloves (I hate the helm so I don't even try to get it.)

and for a gun, i finally found Wolfslayer Sniper Rifle, after I saw it during a quest at Twilight Hignlands, wielded by a mob, and my first thought was "OMG it's so awesome, i must get one one day"

And for a staff, maybe a Bringer of Death will do, if i don't find anything else (WTB staff classified scythe!!!)

If you want the Crown of Destruction in cloth form you can get the Circle of Flame from Blackrock Depths http://www.wowhead.com/item=11808

It IS a purple drop from a dungeon and I've seen it less than Ironfoe personally... but dungeon farming is easier than raid farming for some people and everyone can at least wear it, even if they can't use it for transmogrification.

I'm going for a Northrend-style look:



Mostly the Frostscale set (http://www.wowhead.com/itemset=756), but also with:

Calcified Web Spaulders http://www.wowhead.com/item=44685
Amberpine Gauntlets http://www.wowhead.com/item=36222 (same texture as the Frostscale ones, but different model)
Hyaline Helm of the Sniper http://www.wowhead.com/item=40451

As yet undecided on weapons.

I also liked this Northrend shoulders, they look good and not too big..

Nope, the set type has to be the same for all transmogrifications. Leather to leather, mail to mail, plate to plate, cloth to cloth.

Well crap! Lots of nice leather sets out there I would love to wear! Ok back to the drawing board.

How about tier sets? Can I get warrior tier plate and copy to my plate on my pally? It just has to be plate and in my inventory right, not actually able to wear it?

No, you have to be able to equip the item. You can only use tier sets that are the same class as your own. Even if you can wear plate, if it has a class restriction you cannot equip it and therefore cannot transmogrify to it.
