No Karkin yet, but I did just get Anhka! Was getting all panicky cause it said "not tameable" ....finally realized i was still in MM for Karkin....Yep, going karking mad *cackles wildly and hides behind a rock*

Woo grats on Ankha! I did the same thing as you when I tamed my Magria. *Bribes his Karkin, Pinchy, to go tell the other shiny gem crabs that Teigan is offering a loving home*

I am disguised as plant. Surely Karkin will come out now. And I will name him Skarr.

Skarr #14. Tamed after i asked a mage nicely not to kill it.

the hunter that tamed Skarr #14 told me karkin only spawns in the spot that is by the rock bridge. Is he right? If so i've been wasting time running back and forth. It looks like both spots are on my npcscan map, but he says not to believe it.

I've only seen Karkin on the lower spawn point but have seen Skarr on them both. I'm not sure if that's the only place he spawns though.

That's not true. I've seen Karkin at both spawns poinhts.

I got Karkin at the farthest point myself. The really northern one, and Karkin spawned on the rock bridge last night. My NPC picked up him while I was in the middle of the two spawn so I'm sure it doesn't matter.

Aww. You'll get Skarr soon! If it helps, I've found that they spawn most commonly around 6-8 hours.

I have seen Karkin spawn on three different points out there. Once on the lower steppy stones you take to even get on the island, another time on the middle rock, and Ive seen his corpse on the very far rock to the North. So he spawns in all the same spots that Skarr does. I personally tamed him on the Middle-rock.

I have seen Karkin spawn in two spots, the lower and upper rock areas. Karkin seems to spawn more than Skarr on my server, and mostly just gets killed before anyone can tame it. So its pretty desired, not because it doesn't spawn, but because it doesn't get to live for more than about 10 minutes before someone murders it.

Very, very evil. Horde or alliance, it doesn't matter what faction, but if a pally or DK sees Karkin, he will die. Shiny crab = shiniez apparently. Even if asked to stop, they usually just go ahead and kill it, then ask why they should have stopped. -.-
