You know, considering they will be friendly towards alliance, they will be hostile against horde. There is such thing as a hunting dog, I used to raise them.

And I could be mistaken but in that screen shot it looks like it has a green (friendly NPC) tag on it, which makes me think that was a quest mob or otherwise untameable friendly. I am doubting they'll be tameable as well.

Honestly I think I'd prefer more polished-looking wolves before a dog, but maybe that's just me. I love those thinner, snarling wolves but they just look so darn jagged and funky when they're next to some of the new Northrend beasts.

Yeah but even if they are hostile to Horde, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be attackable or tameable. Think along the lines of bosses that sit there and monologue before you're able to attack them. They're red and hostile, but you can't do anything to them.

I know, just saying it ups the chances, and I heard they are in a quest were you use them as hunting dogs to kill an elite.

There is a wonderfully fun quest (hordeside) in HF that gives you a "pet" blighthound for a little while. Suffice to say, no one gets to keep them as pets. :/ It's not a good indicator.

(On that note, I WANT A BLIGHTHOUND PUPPY ON MY FUTURE WORGEN WARLOCK PRZ.)
