I'm pretty sure your windows is not 64bit. Upgrading to Windows 7 64bit would allow you to use your full 8 gigs of ram, this still doesn't really explain the blue screens or why it's only showing 2.3 out of 8 gigs of ram. Your Alienware Area 51 7500 pc is still pretty good even by today's standards.

I was gonna say something along those lines.. and perhaps this does help point to a RAM issue? I really don't think having "too much" RAM would just.. all of a sudden start causing problems if it didn't before unless you either added more ram, or something broke (MAYBE if there was a windows update or virus which caused things to go funky...)

I think you need to
stop bringing your computer to this guy, I've never once heard of a mouse or keyboard causing a computer to hang. So it's pretty obvious this guy is either a idiot or he is trying to get more money from you. If you have a fresh install of windows on there, then it's clearly a hardware issues. Send me a pm and I can give you contact information to my Buddie who would be able to help you troubleshoot your computer.

Thanks, I may be getting lucky with it though it turns out the guy didn't bother to update any of the drivers soo it took me hours finding all the ones to update and getting them on here. I haven't had any crashes since then. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but if it happens again I'll pm you don't wanna jump the gun if it's working. I'm trying not to get hopes up, but so far...so good.

Aw man I'm still having problems with it. I ran amemtest and it said everything was fine. It's strange too because it works fine a while and then starts doing blue screens at random. I was able to at least get the error this time. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Description:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a (0x0000002100000101, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000001, 0xfffff80002872256). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 110111-20888-01.

Well it looks like the pc just didn't make it. I kept getting new and different types of blue screens after many attempts to fix it so I've decided to give up on it. I just can't put any more time or money into it at this point since things with my health are not going well I just can't have the frustration and strain of doing any more with it.
I do want to thank all you guys however for trying to help me fix it. It means a lot to me

I've managed to get some money together so I'll probably be able to get a new one soon and be back on here with silly fan arts and contests again. If anyone knows what a broken alienware is worth too please let me kno

hopefully someone else who can fix it will want it...or want a paperweight that weighs more than most people do >_<
