Lots of animals look terrifying if you chop off their distinctive parts. I've seen what an elephant looks like without a trunk or ears...ew.
The do kind of have a disturbing obsession with sea lion sex and kidnapping young Wolvar though.

I'm still going to say... if people are going to quit WoW over pandamen (who -are- lore-based and -aren't- any different fundamentally to every other anthropomorphic race in the game)...then I say good riddance and don't let the door hit you on the way out. This game doesn't need people who are going to turn into raging tools over nothing. The game community can only be improved by their absence. In fact, I hope they DO leave, and take their whiny immaturity and elitist asshattery to some other game where they can tool at each other all they like and I don't have to listen to them.
*sage nod*
I fully intend to roll a pandaren (and probably a girl as long as we get pudgy ones and not Miss AmeriPanda pageant contestants), though it won't be a monk. The lack of auto-attack and the weird hybrid of rogue (which I don't like) with druid (which I don't understand well) is just a turnoff. On the other hand... panda mage? Awsum.

Oh, and ya I agree with if those people want to leave...please by all means go...no really we insist. How bout this...if we promise to miss you will you go away? Ya, so sick of hearing people freaking out in trade about the new expantion, I myself am looking forward to the new race and the really neat looking new content and area. It looks beautiful. (and hopeing for some awsome new pets and some fresh pet skins for those who have few skins)

It's kinda funny how taking away their whiskers makes them go from "wise old man" to "creep"!

That's not even remotely fair - your mother's dog is sweet and adorable, whilst Wain's rendering is quite evil... >:[
