I've been away for a few months, and won't be back again until December--but was elated when I found the Crocolisk appreciation thread! My one and only crocolisk is my Slimer, the infamous Spirit of Koosu and my absolute favorite companion and tank. I hope this post does him justice!
When WotLK first came out, I was taking my time levelling and just enjoying the new gameplay. However, when I discovered forum posts excitedly discussing a bug in the Sholazar Basin spirits...and I saw the Spirit of Koosu...I
had to tame him. I spent the next days devoted to power-levelling Nimae to 80, so I could tame him before the dreaded and inevitable hotfix. I was shaking when I finally ran to his stomping grounds and he appeared...just a few short seconds later, he was mine! The name "Slimer" was a no-brainer to me. He's been an amazing tank, I absolutely adore using him in battlegrounds, and he always gets lots of attention wherever we go (Figure 1).
Figure 1. Slimer is famous!
Slimer is my exploration buddy, too...especially in some more disturbing areas (Figures 2, 3). He's a champ, though sometimes even the dark corners get the best of him (Figure 4).

Figure 3. One of my favorite areas in the zone, and in-game; Slimer loved this place, too.
Figure 4. Dark corners sometimes get the best of Slimer's bravery.
I love that Blizzard didn't remove the Slimes from stables after the patch hit...and that the hunter mechanics still work with these awesome beasts. As soon as Camouflage went live, I had to test it out, and was very pleased with the effect (Figure 5).
Figure 5. Slimer with and without Camouflage. I love this effect!
All in all, he's my absolute favorite pet, tank, and companion. I can't imagine playing WoW without him. He's been a beast in PvP (when tanks don't volunteer to take on Vann, I yell "HEAL THE SLIME" and in he goes--heals love him, and I haven't yet seen him die while tanking in a BG!). He has saved us in raids and instances when tanks bite the dust. I love my Crocoslime, and when I'm back home in December I can play MoP with my buddy once again. =3
