Huzzah for having a PC! Tho im too scared to mod.. XD

Edit: Finally decided to log in and i got pounded by a couple Giants and their Mammoths when i checked out a big bonfire outside of Whiterun.. scary lot they are XD Climbed the mountain im guessing i had to climb to the destination i need to get to and killed a few bandits then a dragon flew out from the mountain and began pounding my huscarl and i @_@ i slipped down the mountain cause i had already made my way down the ruins of a structure when he attacked and killed him, was hard tho, im still really freaked out by the games combat mechanics with the whole shaking screen and unpredicatable combat, specially since the dragon flies around in the air and then divebombs me XD

Eh you'll get there one day but I find it better to get mods after I've finished once allready. It makes the game last longer.

Been super absorbed in the game. Finished the main story of DB and im now doing random quests for the Night Mother, ive done the storyline up to Glory of the Dead for the Companions, im gonna go into the Theives Guild next.. ive seriously only done like a sixteenth of the storyline for the game XD I keep doing little side quests or running around lost or plain out derpin' around. Finally decided to get married so i bought an amulet of mara, bought breezehome in whiterun and all the fixings, married Farkas, and i cannot stop squeeing everytime i talk to him.

I kept getting hit on by the females which made me laugh quite a bit since hardly any males would. When Farkas noticed i was wearing the amulet i was in a squee spree during the entire dialogue and also during the wedding and when i find him at my home and when i turn the clocks at the inn just so that we could go to bed together (tho it seems like hes always out of bed before my character is). But he gives me homecooked meals so i forgive him for that. Graphics wise hes the most handsome dude ive met and hes like the man that one could only wish for in their dreams. Too bad hes a computer character. I'd die if he was real.

Im gonna be squeeing for daaaaaayyyyys at least everytime i talk to him cause he always calls me 'dear' and 'love'





And i also caught Shadowmere in an akward incident.. im not calling it a she anymore now.. she is definitely a he to me for now on.

So uh, Shadowmere.. What'cha doin'?



Oh yea, i found he decided to climb to the top of a tower overrun by the Silver Hand. I was doing a quest and i looked out the window and well..

Don't be afraid to mod. I like the game but it only plays on my husband's computer so I don't play it much. He modded the hell out of his, but then again he has been playing "The Elder Scroll" games since Morrowind came out many years ago. So he knows how to do the mods, tweak them, mess with the TES set. All of that.

Skyrim is a beautiful game though and can be lots of fun. I skimmed over most of this, but it seems you have grown to like it. :3

Skyrim is amazing *.* im sort of toying with the ressurection command and also with the occassional bug, commands that ive found that fix it and its pretty good. I ended up on the quest to kill Nilsine as an option and thus couldnt do the butcher quest but i tried the resurrection command and she popped back up and the DB quest still listed her as dead ^^ my use of the command came about when a dragon startled me and sent my character on his horse (im playing a vampiric khajiit their right now >:D i dont like the female models much so hes male) to their deaths. I rolled and fumbled as if i was dead but i sprang up like nothing happened but my horse.. he was dead some yards below on a cliff face ._. but i looked up the resurrect command and got him back on his feet, got us both to saftey and then beat up the blasted dragon XD

Ive left my Argonian so far in the dust now.. all i ever do is play my Khajiit now. He's just a few stages behind in the main questline then my argonian but he's part of the theives guild, hes done a few quests for the companions but i stopped to become a vampire, hes doing the quests for the DB, and the rest of the time i spend on him that isnt doing guild quests is finding sleeping people to feed on and practicing my sneak and pickpocketing skills. Ive raided several shops for potions and armor and weapons and cleared out entire kitchens (ive been cooking ).. Ahhh a theifs life it is for me.. on the game that is. God help me if i become one in this day and age.

Only drawback is that Night Eye makes my eyes sore cause of how they rendered the graphics for that ability (i play 3rd person mostly so my characters covered by a bubble of focused sight and everything else is blurred but vampires dont recharge during the day but night time is difficult for me to see anything since well, everything is so dark xD the graphics have a lot of shadow so im fighting with the lack of light the game gives you during night time but also the lack of light everywhere you go from objects blocking the skies natural light and the shadows they cast over the ground.

But i still love my vampiryness so i'll learn to deal with it XD I'll save my fighting for night time unless i abolutely cant get away from something and travel by day

I'm sure you can turn off the shadows and you can make the graphics lighter so it's not so dark. It should all be in the options. Theres bound to be a mod that changes the eye thing if you don't like it.

Cant turn off shadows to my knowledge, you can turn them to low and thats what they're sitting at right now but it makes it really hard at night cause my lights give the screen and my glasses a glare but natural light coming from the window illuminates the screen perfectly. I'll google around for night eye mods, maybe even a shadow mod if i can find such a thing

Theres bound to be a mod. Elderscroll games are very mod friendly. If not I dunno :/

Ok so ive found mods but i dont know how to.. 'unzip' them. I found a NoBlur mod but i drop it into Data as it says since my computer wont let me unzip the mod but it doesnt do anything, the Data Files on Skyrim doesnt show it

Hmmmmmm. Lemme get back to you I'm not the most computer savey person out there XD

So you can't unzip it? :S I have no clue. Sorry for not being usefull.

For the "how to unzip" problem there are 2 solutions. 1 is Curse, yes curse has mods you can download from it (also for Oblivion and Rift) the second way is something called Nexus Mod Manager it has more mods than Curse does and a lot more detail (plus pics) of the mod you are going to download. Its free, just have to register at the website http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/content/modmanager/ if you like a mod on the site click the NMM download button and it will do everything for you, also it has a features like enable/disable mods and plugins hope this helps

Yeah, some jerks charge for their mods but everything on Nexus that I have seen is free

*forgot all about this thread* i'll look into the nexus mod thing, like, how i can use curse to get it when i play Skyrim next, ive found on steam that people have mosted their mods for subscribing which auto mods the game, i cleared up the blur in night eye and made it a toggle. The werewolf transform toggle mod i want is on the nexuswhateveritscalled thing, i havent found it on steam but im not playing my argonian anymore so im not too concerned about that mod. Im having waaaaaaay too much fun as a vampire thief XD

So I finally managed to fix my computer's overheating problem that was making playing Skyrim an absolute hell; really low framerates, saving and loading screens took ages and after playing for half an hour the computer would simply turn itself off.

As a result I've spent the past four days doing nothing but playing Skyrim.

Since launch I've had three separate characters: Argonian Mage Nuada (on a pirated version so she was left behind when I bought a real copy :( ), High Elf Mage Gweth, and my latest love, Khajit Ranger Savu who recently got bored of sniping everything from afar and as such is slowly getting the hang of dual wielding one-handers.

There's a clear reason to why my first two toons were Mages... Because I downright suck at games that require you to manually aim to actually hit something. <_<' So at least as a mage I could just aim a fireball at my targets' feet and be done with it. Bow and arrows? I tend to miss targets that are running right at me and waste all my precious arrows on the wall. *shame*

Hahaaaaaa the witch is to die for hilarious XD Ive been really bad, im on the quest to go to Sovengarde to beat up Alduin but ive been fiddling around on WoW and havent been on in forever. Dar'kijh (i think thats what i named him) has married, to the dark elf mercenary from the Inn near the front gates of Whiterun (she scares me tho when she says endearments to me o_o;;) and i guess cause i bought a house in Whiterun, it got rid of my house in Riften (i spent a fortune buying that thing and furnishing it and i lost everything i had in the chest >:(). I didnt realize i lost it either for a very long time so its not like i could quick-fix it without losing a shiat ton of gameplay >< I also thought that our spouses go to your house wherever it is in Skyrim but my spouse wont leave Whiterun. /sigh

Im also worried about being a vampire and having to go into Sovengarde. I already went there but realized i didnt store/sell items and stock up on others so after i got past a few of the dragons and many dragur, i had to go to the file before riding the dragon there and currently thats where im left off.. still gotta sell/store and stock up xD

So I got the console version of this game. I'm pleased that one of the things th console version has over the computer version is that I've got a code that lets me marry whoever I want. I'm a Khajit warrior named Iskra.

I'm sure there will be mod that lets you marry who ever you want someday. Theres mods for everything
