I love how you did your "grid!" It's especially striking.

The below grid means I'd have to let go of Doug (my dog), Shags (my rhino), and Spiter (Kirix). I'm not 100% sold on poor little Doug (his back legs bother me); I have enough tanking pets already; and Naphthali is the only spider for me. I like the red and the brown tigers, so I'm not sure which one I'll get. This still leaves me enough stable slots to play with. I may pick up a quilin, but it greatly depends on the skeleton they end up using. Even though blue isn't my favorite color, I really like the copper mane and highlights of the cobalt adorned quilin.
Row 1: Tetsusaiga, Apollyon, Vulkoor, Shikon, Shiranui
Row 2: Naphthali, Martin, Ransom, Rimebane, Surge
Row 3: Piandao, Kybele, Skaza, Rhytil, Oscar
Row 4: Sounga, Abaddon, Rainey, Khamen, Sheldon
Row 5: Unnamed potential future pets

But that's a non-issue in MoP.

*strokes invisible goatee* You may have a point there, considering one of the first things I did with Athos was take him into this week's battleground--Arathi Basin.
Lumber mill defense, go!

Man, my poor blood elf's stable is all kinds of messed up. These are what I'm looking at so far...
Kyria, 85 Blood Elf
Caelan, 85 Draenei
Each hunter's current top five pets are listed along the top row. The others are listed in no particular order. Pets above the bottom row are permanent pets; pets in the bottom row are intended, but not necessarily permanent. Asterisks mean that the pet's name is subject to change. The question marks in some squares indicate that I haven't decided between the two skins presented. If there are two skins in a square, but no question marks, I've decided on the larger one, and the smaller one will be shrinking into minipet form come MoP.
... You can tell that I made these mostly for myself. Also, that I'm indecisive.

I trimmed my alts stable a bit and released some pets that I hadn't really bonded with. This is her tentative stable going into MoP. There are quite a few pets who I'm not sure about still and I have no idea what new pets I'm going to tame for this toon. It sucks because I have all these pets I love but won't fit in Sesamee's stable yet at the same time I don't want to just rehome all the pets that don't fit onto her. Something about that just doesn't feel right. Her pets have to match and click with her. I don't want Laiala's stable to just be a holding tank for Sesamee.
I went ahead and tamed Sambas since I saw him up and have been thinking about maybe moving Llywelyn in with her. He'd fit nicely with her L themed names and seeing as how she's alliance it's even more perfect. I'm still not sure about this though.
Karoma was a whim and I'm going to see how the bond forms. I haven't even named him yet.
Marama was placed in my alt's stables while I tamed Boss (Chromaggus) on my main. Initially it was just a temporary thing but the two go so well together I think it's permanent now. She gets to be the exception to the L theme, however.

Ohhh yeeah! How could I have forgotten about that? Maybe because I did this grid when I was really tired.

Well, that's fortunate, because I do like Shags. I almost let him go to make room, but couldn't do it. I think he needs to be ferocity or cunning in MoP. >:D

Caelen, we both have ravagers named Lorcan!

And I also had a red warp stalker named Xaphan! Duuuude.

I found out about your Xaphan a little while after I'd already named mine, but I had no idea about Lorcan, Sesamee! What are the odds?

Decided to plan ahead and post this just too see how closely i will actually follow it when MoP goes live. A few names are not final and Kirin is only temporary until a more Kirin-like pet becomes tamable.

This one approves of Kalliope's choice of pet names. Badassfully: you need a Bouben.(brown mantid pet perhaps if they're tameable).

That would be awesome! Plus it would mean I'm not the Bouben in the relationship. (Spoiler alert: I pretty much am anyway.)
Bah, then I'm basically committed to this side naming scheme.

Urgghh, we need a "void storage" for pets, seriously. 25 stable slots is not enough for me and I have no desire to roll a third hunter or camp pets I've already camped long and hard for! I am a collector to the core and just thinking about abandoning any of my rares for new rares or cool pets makes me want to stick forks in my eyes.

I can understand your frustration Masq! We all love and cherish our in-game pets to varying degrees ... otherwise we wouldn't all be here on the Petopia Forums. I also empathize with the notion that the number of new tamables being introduced will always conflict with our allotted stable space and with our attatchment to our current pets.
I am going to have to disagree with the concept of void storage for pets though. Hunters pets are not the same thing as gear and weren't meant to be collected in the same manner that we collect trinkets within the game.

I agree, I don't like the thought of putting my pets in some sort of deep storage somewhere. That just seems odd. Kind of heartless. Either give us more regular stable slots or we'll just be forced to make some tough decisions. I think the latter is working as intended.
