Re: Tameable yaks and mushan are mistakes
Wow, this is so devastating. I was prepared for tameable Mushan to be a fluke but Yaks being a mistake too is a real kick in the gut. The two pets I wanted so bad were the orange tiger and a black yak
. I really wanted Mushan too though!
Take back silkworms and basilisks and give us Yaks and Mushan (I'll be keeping my porcupine, tyvm)! It blows so hard that the two coolest new beasts introduced with the new expansion aren't even supposed to be tameable. I mean, come on, if Yaks and Mushan aren't the essence of Pandaria then what is??? /sadface

:c Wow. Figured mushan might be a mistake, but like others I wasn't expecting yaks to be one as well.

Re: Tameable yaks and mushan are mistakes
I went to make a thread on the subject on the EU side but found out I cannot start a thread unless I have active game time. /sighKalliope wrote:And someone could get a thread started on the EU forums as well. Let Blizzard know that this was a happy accident!
Basically, what I would have said is that my hunters are one of the main reasons for me to buy more game time and the more pet choices we get the more time I spend playing! Alongside the fact that there's a huge desire for these beasts in the player base in general.
Re: Tameable yaks and mushan are mistakes
Ok seriously, they have to leave Yaks in
I mean cmon. They're perfect! Let us have the Yaks please? Mushan... well I don't like them. But, LEAVE THEM ALONE TO FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DO! D:
Or at least give us hydras XD

I'm not surprised. But...seriously...silkworms but NOT mushan? Isn't that kinda odd? Silkworms look like minipets, at best. They have like...one polygon. Mushan are amazing looking and could just be stuffed into the croc family.
And yaks would be just fine in with the goats. In fact you could put talbuk in there too.
And porcupines...they take a glitch and not only keep it but make a whole family for it? How bizarre is that?
Bottom line, yaks and mushan make ALOT more sense than silkworms, and even porcupines.

Wait until they make Porcupines the size of Boars when they're tamed, some people will lose interest because they aren't the cute little spikey balls that everybody loved and was the only reason they fought for them to stay.Teigan wrote:I'm not surprised. These are my two favorite new additions... I really hope blizzard will have mercy and let us keep them. I will be very sad if they don't, but I understand we aren't *entitled* to them. But....DO WANT!!!

I honestly think Blizzard should seriously consider Mushan. Heck rename the rhino family "Behemoth" an include kodos, thunder lizards clefthoof, and mushan. I think the punt ability would suit them all great, and give us more hen the 4 skin types the rhino family currently has.

Seeing as it's named ''Behemoth'' I can see it including Kunchongs too.

Kunchong would better fit with Silithid... although they're not Silithid, they share the same model as the boss-tanks.

Calydonian stays at any size. I will be sad if he doesn't stay small, but I will not ditch him for that. Blanket statements are mass generalizations; please avoid speaking for all of us.Crotalus Horridus wrote:Wait until they make Porcupines the size of Boars when they're tamed, everybody will lose interest because they aren't the cute little spikey balls that everybody loved and was the only reason they fought for them to stay.Teigan wrote:I'm not surprised. Regarding Teigan's point (which I bolded), that is why I personally don't believe that porcupines were truly an error. There was WAY too fast a turnaround on their family ability being created and set for them to just be a whim gift. I'm clinging to this (possibly erroneous) hope for the sake of the mushan and yaks. :/

Well we're paying customers so really we're entitled to want whatever we want. I have no reservations about expressing my desires regarding in game pets. I pay to play the game and I play to have fun. Obviously it's up to Blizz if they want to listen or not but a smart company takes the needs and wants of it's customers into consideration.Swampfox wrote:These are my two favorite new additions... Eeee, this would make me happy, as I had already decided to switch from having a bird of prey to a carrion bird. I will miss my seagull Chalk, but having a raven to go with Murder of Crows will be awesome!Wain wrote:I know for a fact that ravens were deliberate. And will probably be carrion birds soon. They just fit that family a bit more than they do birds of prey.
*stares into the distance, thinking of possible raven names*

We might be entitled to want things, but acting overly entitled is never pretty to watch.
Re: Tameable yaks and mushan are mistakes
Well, then I'm entitled to want 10Mil gold, a hunter that never dies, the OP weapons from Diablo, and tameable dragons. I'm entitled after all..Sesamee wrote:Well we're paying customers so really we're entitled to want whatever we want. I have no reservations about expressing my desires regarding in game pets. Re: Tameable yaks and mushan are mistakes
In my opinion, acting overly entitled would be "GIVE US MUSHAN AND YAKS NAO! OMG BLIZZARD!!", going absolutely beserk, without any sort of provocation.Ziarre wrote:We might be entitled to want things, but acting overly entitled is never pretty to watch.
However, just like the one ghost hydra, just like snakes were before Burning Crusade (and this is what lets me have hope for mushan!!) they were accidentally made tameable: teased right under our noses. For people like me, who don't even have a beta key, I will never get to enjoy a brief moment of joy with a yak or a mushan. It's just that these are such perfect hunter pets and honestly, it would not fit perfectly but it would please so many people if they just kept yaks in the Goat family and Mushan in the Crocodile family.
