In other words, I never thought I would like this model so much. Those teeth (or whatever they are) make it actually look dangerous. That thing could swallow you whole!

Nope. Just go to the area where you do the quest - even though you can't see the debuff on them, they're still infected. I didn't have the quest either, and could tame one without a hitch.

For those wondering, you DO NOT have to be revered with the Klaxxi to get these to spawn. Go whack the mobs and tame away. I've lovingly named my Squishy for the moment as I couldn't think of anything else right now. Also in the image is my standings with the Klaxxi to prove you can just go tame one. =3

What level is the parasite?

I'll note it here as well that having the daily makes finding a beast that will spawn the parasites a sure thing, but (as stated already multiple times) you don't need it to tame.

I somehow feel like they might be doing more damage then other pets, but with further testing, it seems that it might just be due to acid spit.
Someone should test this just in case...

I heard that rumor with spirit beasts too and it seemed to just be the buff.

I think it's just the buff. I find it kind of humorous that here's this teeny worm that suddenly turns huge when tamed, when my helldoggy was a good size and then shrunk to a chihuahua of death.

I got one for myself even though it doesn't 'fit' my character ICly. It is an -awfully- neat model and I really hope it's a precedent to make the other larvae tamable also.

hope they don't change it next week, & that someone posts if they have, as I'll be busting butt to get my other hunt to 90, already 1/2 way to 88... ><
