Oki might have caved in and realised that maybe mmorpg is the genre im looking for

but is there a single person game for pc where you can run around with a pet - or maybe even tame some in the wild. I prefer not first person view.

Again i like graphic and a story - prefer if it´s not to violent towards humanoids

so any single person games like that? :D

Wait are you looking for a MMORPG or a Singer player game? You kinda are saying you want both O.o It's confuseing as there is no such thing as a singer player MMORPG as it would not be a MMO.

I was reading through the comments because I was originally going to say; " Have you tried TERA? They're making it free to play this year, and I know where I'll be spending half of my time." but after reading you didn't like it.. Hrmm.

It's half like it's coming down to the Sims with super heavy modding or an Elder Scrolls game with super heavy modding.
I've unfortunately have looked for a game that offers completely free range of doing whatever you want.
If only there was a video game like Sword Art Online or DOThack just without the... terrible truth about it. xD
IDK.. Mabinogi, although I'm not sure if it has a EU server.
Uhm
theHunter, you can hunt animals but I think it's just a hunting game..

Honestly, WoW is the most hunter/ranger-player friendly game I've ever played. anything past that is getting into AI pet games xD

I know - but bad graphic, and imo Tera has bad graphic, is a real turnoff to me.

What do i want for a solo game, almost the same as i would a mmorpg

1) Stunning Graphic

2) Preferable beast/monster/etc mobs over humanoid mobs. - i dont like kiling to many humans or humanoids. But i dont want a "hunter - shoot this beast kind off game"

3) A good storylinie for the game which you follow - so it seams that the game have a purpose

It is to bad that there isnt a solo player game which would offer nice graphic, a good story linie and a possibility for a pet

Mabinogi is an online game - and from the game trailer it did not look like a game i would wanna try out.

I know i have some wird requirements heh - maybe that is why i have a hard time finding a game..

hehe

i have realised that i must cut down on my "demands" -

so fare i kinda like to play a kids mmorpg (rpg) called star stable where i own a horse ride around and do horse thing and quest.. very childish but i like it

so fare FFXIV is ok... not to impressed with the graphic - liked the graphic in aion better tbh - and i miss my wow pets for my archer  ;)

not settled for a mmorpg/rpg yet ;)

Tera is quite beautiful, However it does not come with the normal pve combat as u are used too (aka no Tab targeting) therefore you might need to get used to the controls seeing it works a little different.
I cant be sure but there should be pvp/pve servers.
it has quite the character customization (like aion)
crafting is quite similar as Aion.
However its quite intensive if you die a lot, (your gear is slotted with crystals and they can be destroyed on death) and like aion you can also enchant it as well.

With the demo account you can try some of the game play for free and you dont even need to install the game for the demo.
also it went from sub to f2p in februari.

An other one would be Arche Age I guess but that one is not out yet (end of the 2013 I believe?)
High customization of characters (little less then aion)
beautiful world and graphics
3 continents with the starter continents pretty much pvp free (the 3th one is heavily world pvp focused and is used for sieging, guild castle building)
crafting is slightly random (think a little aion style with procs)
you can build houses, boats, keep cattle, plant and harvest trees etc.
you can dive around for sunken treasures, Mounts is something you actually raise and level and can be used in combat as well. its a semi sandbox mmo but from my understanding the start and leveling follows a more theme park approach ala WoW.

Basically you can do a lot.
Might be a tip to keep an eye out for it.

@ junrei my understanding of EvE is that its pretty much all or nothing there its quite pvp focused if you go out of the safe zones and also if you do get attacked your work can actually be destroyed as well as in losing your mats and ship etc. I think you really need to be in an alliance if you really want to get the full out of that game. or atleast that was the feeling I got while checking out the site.

Eve is kinda ok. U can play for a long time without having encounters with bandits or pvp players.. but its fare to technical for me

ATM im playing WoW again... but i must admit that final fantasy might become an option... or maybe ESO... or something completly different.... not sure yet but the latest hunter change in wow defo makes me rethink my games again
