If they'd given them a secondary ability that actually brought a buff or did something "useful" as others might put it, that might have shifted the Dire Horn into the realm of an exotic pet...and I don't think that would have gone over well with the general hunter population. I think there's folk that believe that Beast Masters have quite enough "special" pets as it is. I'm not saying that's what I think, just mentioning it.

We're just going to have to get creative to figure out how to use Reflective Armor Plating to its best advantage - and have fun with our new 3-horned friends, no matter what spec we are.

I used mine to farm up eggs on the isle and Cera does just fine. She can handle 2x lil dinos. She can handle the biggins but only with my healer partner :) I got to test this when a "friendly" alliance DK dragged them onto me ergh!

I also tried to solo the big dinos with my turtle but got to around 40% and splat! Also tried with corehound for lust but same result.

I reckon they are still cool even if their ability is abit useless as a pve raid pet sometimes. Horridon Vs Cera was funny to watch tho hahaha!

My Mafalda has been doing nicely in LFR and heroics with one hiccup -- in Gate of the Setting Sun, after the cutscene just before Commander Ri'mok, the trash mobs aggroed her as soon as we zoned in. Healer didn't like that...

I'll take her over Stompy without trample on autocast though.
