Did nobody notice that the Timeless Turtle Patriarch uses Bloodtooth's model/colouring? Patrannache gets all the attention and poor Bloodtooth gets ignored

Or maybe I missed someone mentioning it already xD

Anyways, I figure these guys are added in to give those nice colourations more exposure - right now you'll likely only see them as a hunter pet (unless you spot a hunter tracking them). While it is nice to have a pet that is kinda special in that regard, I think it will be nice to be able to see these models around more often, even if (until next expac) we only see them in this one extra place. That is, assuming they are tameable. We'll be going beast lore crazy once the isle is available for testing I'm sure.

Also hurrrgh pythons please be tameable please.

I bet every single one of those grubs aggro when you engage him. Should be an interesting fight or tame, just like before 5.2 when the silkworms in TLS were hostile (they're neutral now) and would swarm you if you even got close to a tree.

I forgot about Bloodtooth but that is a good point! Yep his skin is out there.

Another timeless isle rare, Gibabidot

They're several stories tall and appear to be in the process of invading. Fortunately they seem to be flailing in one spot. Clever Celestials had laid out gigantic squares of cockroach paper.

so if Gu'Chi spits on you does he spit out Gu'Chi Goo?

Huh. I *thought* they looked different and they are!

Ancient Spineclaws are a different colour to the King Spineclaws we already have. Though I'm not quite sure how it works.

The highlights on it are paler, less orange, even though I think they're still derived from the orange skin.

Since I can't get to the island, I can't compare the two in exactly the same light, but the portraits never lie:

And of course they're level 91, so they're just a big tease!

I was able to pull and kill one of the giant Elder turtles that swarm about the shore, no loot though.

Edit: Wain, I dont know if this is the comparison you want, but I compared an above water tamed King Spineclaw in the same spot as an Ancient Spineclaw I pulled from below water outer shore area. I got plenty others if you want to see more, basically similar angles though. They are indeed slightly different.

Update on Ordos World Boss (from MMOCHAMP):
Ordos is a difficult world boss that requires you to have a legendary cloak to get to him. He will respawn every few hours or so, but the main gating mechanism for him is getting a group together that all has the cloak. He drops items that will be anywhere from Normal to Normal Thunderforged quality.

Also I'm really glad that they made the rare-skinned pets untamable. It means that any hunter running around with one won't feel like they've been cheated out of their rare tames by the common beasts.

Thanks Quiv That's a great comparison of the two crabs. It's starting to look like that's green under the blue, instead of orange.

New rares! I think it is clear which are intended for solo and which are intended for group, but you know how that goes (*looks at his blood DK*)



The pink cranes are now lvl 90, no clue on tameability. The savage look alikes are still 91.



And Ordos is just a straight up BAMF now

Sorry Quiv I posted another thread on this with some of the pics you got already. I was blind and could not find this thread =p. But I did find a rare spawn frog if u want me to add that here.

Oh I don't mind either way! I just like sending out updates on things of interest for those who can't do PTR or haven't seen. No rule says this thread has to be the only one!

And its good others contribute, because clearly I missed that frog lol. I saw the Gulp frogs are now hostile, but I missed the rare. He might not have been up, idk.

Don't rush too far ahead. I think it is very likely those are just place holders for now and both the white tigers and the pink cranes will change to other colors. There were pink cranes in the original MoP beta that got changed to green before or (right at?) launch. I don't know that GC and co would put all that work into designing the rares and the tracking to make the models a walk up and tame on the island.

Though I could be wrong too. I just would remember that it is beta and can still change.
