It would be fine if there was sort of a hidden 'forth' travelform that automatically switched you (that you could hotkey but wouldn't necessarily need a button). And leave the buttons for non-auto changing.

Or even have the original, non-condensed spells hidden in the spellbook- so we could stick them on an action bar somewhere and hot key them. Just so we *can* use them.

Yeah, as an RPer, I am NOT okay with being forced into bird form when I want to be a deer. For petes sake, I RPed my druid's travel form as a deer since BC, when rumors of a stag travel form had been flying around. Goodness knows I was the happiest person when they finally made a stag form in Mists, but now I cant even choose to use it? I don't understand why they would go and make a model and animations for a whole new form, plus glyphs to go with it, and then make it something you can only use in certain places. Goodness forbid I ever wanna role play in Stormwind (the biggest friggin RP hub on Alliance, by the way ), right?

I know it isn't convenient but can you make a macro for each form? Or are they changing the ability completely? I didn't really read thoroughly so pardon me if I am misinformed!
As it is in live I have a macro hotkeyed on my bars for travel, cat and flight form each.
I know for people who use a lot of keys might not want to use three or more actionbar slots for them, though ):

From what I've read you can turn into the stag etc but jumping will turn you into flight form etc. You can also turn your stag into a 2 seater too. Dunno if thats new.

!!!
So, if you jump in stag form, I assume you stay in stag form?
And if you jump (out of travel form) and then hit travel form, you turn into a bird?
Because that's *exactly* the change I was hoping they'd implement.

That might only happen if you are in an area you can't fly. Need to double check that because I think someone said if you jump or go into water it messes up

I just want them to leave my buttons alone. That seems like more hassle than helpful.

Actually, I was just reading about ALL the changes they have made to druids, and augh. If I thought this travel form issue was infuriating...
Not a balance druid? No more moonfire.
Not a guardian? No more barkskin.
You ARE a guardian? No more rejuv.
Not feral/guardian? No swipe.
No more Hibernate. No more Entangling Roots. At all.
Basically, all the abilities I feel made me a druid - AND LETS NOT FORGET I CAN'T EVEN RP PROPERLY CAUSE LOL I CANT USE TRAVEL FORM WHERE I WANT TO! Yes, I would LOVE them to leave my buttons the hell alone.
It's like, it's such a terrible thing if I'm going to enjoy WoW anymore, right? I wonder if there's a refund option for my preorder because hell, my account wears out in November and like hell I'm renewing it.

After watching a video on youtube about the new druid travel form, you can still pick which form you're in. It's just one button. So if you were to jump and press the travel form button you'd become a bird or bat. Otherwise, if you press the travel button on land you become the deer. If you go into water, you don't become a sea lion thingy straight away. You have to press the same button. So we aren't going be to forced into being a sea lion when we want to swim as a deer, for you'd have to press the button. I think it's a good thing, as I've often jumped off cliffs and instead of becoming a bat I turned into a bear for goodness sake

the button change isn't as bad as people are making it out to be. Unless I've got my facts slightly wrong...then yes, it's as bad as people are making it out to be.
The other changes to druids...just no. Leave some of the classes alone. Not all need to be changed beyond repair

From the way it sounds like to me, they're trying to make "Hybrid classes" less hybridy. Druids have their abilities cut down to specific spec only (certain abilities only being used in certain specs and you're SOL if you're not in that spec) and ditto on paladins (IE ret using one of their big DPS cooldowns, Guardian of the Ancient Kings which still makes me sad).

So after reading this, I decided to check out this mysterious button.
If I am in an area where I can fly (like Orgrimmar):
-Press Travel Form while standing/jumping/falling on the ground turns me into a bird
-I could not figure out a way to turn into a stag while on the ground in Org.
If I go somewhere where I cannot fly (like Silvermoon):
-Pressing Travel Form while standing/jumping/falling turns me into a stag.
If I am in bird/stag Travel Form and I go into water, I automatically turn into aquatic.
If I am in aquatic Travel Form and I jump out of water or run up on dry land, I turn into bird/stag, depending on if I am in an area I can fly or not.
If I am in Travel Form (regardless of which), and I press Travel Form again, I go back to Tauren. It did not toggle between available forms.

Screw my other idea...this is awful. I like riding around as a stag in Orgrimmar. Makes me feel majestic. I honestly (seems an odd reason) don't feel like playing my druid. Shapeshifting was one of the reasons I played her. Limiting what I can shift into...just no. Bleh. That free level 90 might be being used elsewhere now...perhaps on a class a little less...tampered with. Shaman? Those wolf forms are gorgeous!

If that's how the travelform button makes it to live, then I would be quite content. I always jump when I shift into a bird anyways, because I like to be doing a somersault when it happens. And if it's somewhere I forgot I couldn't fly, being in stag form ASAP for a Wild Charge land is pretty nice.
As far as cc, I'd prefer having roots or hibernate over cyclone because I'm usually tunnelling too hard in pvp to cyclone (except on my symbiosed priest haha). And cyclone is pretty much just for pvp, while the others have pve uses. Although Heart of the wild is going to be less appealing for tanking. No bonus stats, no rejuv, no tranquility. And there's a talent for feral moonfire, which should make it far superior to what it is now for feral.
