I've been wanting the fel wolves to be tameable since the start of WoD! So it was a wish come true this patch! This is Sylune and her new fel pup. <3

Darn. I'd just barely gotten into Tanaan when the guild decided to do a test run into HFC. I didn't get to try for a fel wolf. How tough was the NPC you have to kill to get the vial? Did y'all do it solo?

I tamed an Iron Horde wolf a.s.a.p. upon entering Tanaan and it has quickly become one of my favorite things ever. I had no idea how much I'd like them! He just looks so right next to Kalhoun.

His name is Turncoat.

Me and my husband did it last night (ilvls 665 - 668) and at first it was but after you get the flow of her abilities its fine. Just watch out at 50% she can heal herself in one go so make sure to interrupt and dispel her crazy damage buff with tranq shot. Also only take hunters as Wain tried to help us and he just got deaded she has a mechanic where she one shots any non hunter lol! (probably to stop douchebags from killing her for shits n giggles)

Here's my four that I currently have to show. There's a couple others that I didn't get photos of, but I think they'll forgive me.

First off is Tahl's green piggy, who wound up being named Turk - a tough, stout name, just like him.


Next is his worm, a laid-back, groovy fellow named Zaphod.


After the worm, comes Tahl's war wolf, who, thanks to Kalhoun's artistic talents, is named Toaster.

Toaster is a rescuee from the Iron Front - and he really, really doesn't like the Iron Horde. I almost think he enjoys visiting payback on the ones that grafted that armor onto him.

Lastly, is Tahl's Fel Wolf, who hasn't yet told me what he wants his name to be.

Like Toaster, this wolf has big problems with Eredar - and with Shadow Council. Tahl, being a huge softy for animals in bad situations, rescued him from the Temple of Sha'naar.

EDIT: After going through Tahl's stables, I realized that he had a lot more WoD tames than I'd thought. So I went ahead and took those photos.

Other than these guys, Tahl has a Warsong wolf named Nikai


a grey wolf named Silver that the Warsong had chained up just inside the borders of Nagrand

(another pair of rescues - I told you he was a softy!),

a Frost Wolf named Snowfire, who he earned the companionship of after the Frostwolf clan came to approve of him,


a pair of Rylaks, both from bad situations...one from Nagrand named Ryley,


and one from Darktide Roost that was being beaten on by a Goblin machine that he nursed back to health and named Flapbat.


He's also made friends with a raptor he called Thrasher,


a very arrogant talkbuk he named Boss,


and a hydra he called Typhon...who tends to put himself up on a pedestal.


Tahl has gained the trust of the spirit wolf Gara,


while his tiger, Thutmose


and his old black wolf Valiant, the leader of his canine pack, also got a makeover.

I went out on the first day on my hunter and tamed the two new pet looks that I wanted most. I just haven't got around to posting them until now. I've been really busy building a pond outside my house and helping my guildies get their Saberstalker rep grinds done.

Oh wow, these new beasties look so nice! Well, probably not new, per se, it just took me forever to see this. I still haven't played the newest patch.

I got plenty of WoD tames I enjoy, but these two stick out for me...

As soon as hydras were made tamable, I sat in that damn cave for hours waiting for Trigore the Lasher. I kept telling myself "ten more minutes, then sleep." I kept breaking my own rules and staying a little longer, and finally it was starting to wear me down and I said, "alright, if he isn't here in a few more minutes, you really have to go." Lo and behold... I decided it would be female, because the name I came up with sounded a little feminine. Her name is Bermuda.




The one I am particularly proud of? I haven't seen anyone else with one, and I feel like most people don't even realize what it is because it doesn't quite stick out like the ghost hydra or croco-slime used to. The Thunderlords Rylak (yes, had an "s" at the end) was removed after the first week of Warlords and was level 100, and pretty difficult to tame because the mob that spawned him would spawn multiple times and never despawn, giving you the daunting challenge of taming a creature that would pull potentially dozens of others - the Thunderlord orc that handled him also could interrupt your tame, I believe even through deterrence. Only way I could score the tame was to kite it veeeery far away and out of range of the others, died several times, but I finally got him! I'm trying to finish the normal Rylakstalker set to match, and RP that he's my Iron Skyreaver mount IC. I named him Nagumba.
