The home page link is now back, for all the styles. The current image is just a temp one- I know the text is thin and hard to read, but at least it's back.

It's looking great so far Wain! I'm loving the pycode theme, it's so nice and simplistic and easy on the eyes. :)

The left-side avatars do take some getting used to, but I'm already adjusting so I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

If I switch themes to anything but default, the active topics link disappears? Or is it just hiding somewhere and i can't find it????

I can see it in the Quick Links menu on the top left in the other themes. Where else should it appear?

A few attachment-handling niceties I noticed:

- you can now upload multiple files at once in a post.
- you can upload files by dragging and dropping, providing you're in the full editor and not the quick reply mode.
- it's nice you can switch between quick and full reply modes without losing what you've already typed, now :)
- the option to display an image attachment inline seems much nicer / easier :)

It always appeared as a link under board index, so I wasn't aware it was under quick links too. So in other themes, it's under quick links, but not as an independent link under board index like it is with default.

So it appears there with Subsilver2, but not any of the others? The creator must have added it specially. Maybe it’ll be easy to reproduce. Would it be important to have it there? Or is it’s appearance in the quick links menu enough?

Another nice bug fix: I see it’s now possible to use phone emojis in a post without it causing errors 😊🐕🦒🐙🐺🦄💚

So I'm using the pycode theme now, and the Petopia homepage link shows up on the computer version, but not the mobile version. Maybe it could also be added to the quick links section? That's in both versions.

Since no one else but my noticed, I'd say it's not all that important, lol. Up to you guys on whether it needs a *fix*. :)

I’ll look into that. That’s definitely something we want to see in all versions if possible, since this forum is supposed to be here to discuss that site.

Ok. I’ll see how difficult it would be to maintain. I don’t mind manually editing the style code but every extra manual edit makes it that bit more difficult to update when style authors release new versions so I’m trying to keep it to a minimum. :)

I get what you mean Dewclaw. :) Instead of Active Topics I used to use the 'New Posts' link (just so I was sure I wasn't missing posts) which was found in the upper right corner of the old board, but once I saw the Quick links menu in the new look I haven't had a real issue using that. It was a small convenience having the direct click in the corner but I can just stay on New Posts and refresh now.

The home page link will now appear on the mobile version too. It's down on the Nav Bar (opposite side to the Board Index link). This was added really quickly by the creator of the board extension we're using, which is called Right Header Image. So thanks to him :)

It does push out the size of the Nav Bar a bit but there may be not much we can do about that.

Are the new forums less "safe" from bots.. LOTS of threads suddenly with links to porn sites :(

Asked Wain to implement a minimum number of posts before new accounts can put in working links or a set amount of time like a few days or maybe even a week before they can. Maybe make it so new accounts can only post/make new threads only so quickly so we don't all these. : /

I don't know if it's a coincidence or not! I've changed all our registration security questions and I'll monitor it. I may have to add extra counter-spam measures if it continues.

I also went through and pruned a lot of old accounts that have never been active, some of which may have been spammer sleeper accounts. When the board was upgraded last week for some reason it disabled the security question and a horde of spammers registered within minutes. I thought I got rid of them all, but some probably slipped through, only to activate a week later.

Sorry about the spam today :( Hopefully we'll now return to normal spam levels, which are usually pretty light!

Also, thanks to everyone reporting spam posts and I'm sorry if I don't PM you to thank you directly. I often delete the posts en masse, and any reports associated with them get erased before I check them.
