That’s awesome, now that the patch is dropping. What is the best plan to tame the white warp stalkers, I really want one, but I don’t know how chaotic things will be on release

The best plan is to try and try until it works. Remember the yellow rockbats from Zaralek Cavern? Same premise, new coat of paint. Just try to isolate one ASAP and pray someone doesn't see hearts and think "that's gotta die first!" like most people tend to think.

Or if you don't mind waiting, just go to the ruins/tomb where they spawn, go to the very back of the structure and wait for the event to pop.
That said, assuming that they are continuing the cycle from the PTR, then the Void Strikes will be in Zul'Aman this week, not Eversong, so it won't be possible to tame the Warpstalker until next week.

Happy patch day!
I've put up a small guide for the three tameable looks (possibly two, since we haven't confirmed the snapdragon but it's likely to be tameable!)
https://www.wow-petopia.com/Patch%2012.0.5.php
Also, someone on Bluesky just replied that more spots were added for the white warp stalker but so far hasn't elaborated:
https://bsky.app/profile/laytis.bsky.so ... zbz5az5k2q
So I'm unsure.

Update: the person responded :
"Zul'Aman Void Strikes with the Hal'hadar! (I reported early the Eversong one may have stacked some odds against Hunter's intending to tame.) so some more were added, and ZA so it wasn't week-locked!"
This sounds like wonderful news!

Wow I am so glad to hear that. Will definitely go tame one asap

Just tamed the Hal'hadar Leystalker, my hype for this patch is complete. I found a spot a stalker hides in Zul 'Aman during the incursion, they are somewhat invisible before attacked

Found mine easily too. They're like always on the outskirts of any assault where they spawn. Tamed it uninterrupted, and it was "Stealthed" the entire time. I guess that makes them invisible to non-hunters? If so, huge win. We need this new Stealth buff on more tameables pets.

Awesome thanks for confirming! Would you have time to please let us know which ZA void strike(s) you found it at and where it appears during them? I'll get the info up ASAP!

I don't know the EXACT names, and I'm dreadfully distracted by Decor Duel, but I recall them being in the Ethereal strikes that did NOT involve bombing pylons. They were in seemingly all of the others, hanging out on the outskirts of the marked area. It shows hostile in the screenshot, but they had a yellow border when clicked and didn't attack me, even if I stepped on them.
EDIT: I found a hilarious bug with decor duels right as I posted, so I'll go creep the void assaults since I got the deserter debuff. Do NOT spam click the class statues as a seeker
Not found In: "Battery Rush", "Rage Machines: Spiritpaw", "Power Vacuum"
Found In: Void Incursion (Zul'Aman)
Void Incursion is a really good time to tame one; everyone is focused at the entrance, but you can just fly over to one and tame it before the actual meat of the incursion begins.

Got the Snapdragon too!
Edit - went back to get it as a mount and it spawned on the first try. Glad I got it over with haha

Awesome! Thanks! I was about to head to check the snapdragon but that will save me time when I should be working (from home today).
As for the warpstalkers, I changed the text to be a little broader but more ambiguous for now:
"This warp stalker appears during several Void Assaults in Zul'Aman and Eversong Woods, if Hal'hadar ethereals are present. Void Assaults switch between the two zones weekly. A good source in ZA is the Void Incursion event that occurs at Speaker's Rest when the zone's Void Assaults tally reaches 100%. During this event, the Hal'hadar Leystalkers are stealthed but easily detected by hunters. An event in Eversong where they occur is the "Cryptic Operations" Void Strike in the crypts at the southern end of the Zeb'Nowa ruins (in the far south-east of the zone, south-west of the entrance to Zul'Aman). This strike appears to be less frequent than most so you may have to clear a number of them before it pops, but when it does be quick to tame one as other players engaging with the event will probably kill them quickly."

Since I started searching again, I haven't had any valid assaults spawn. Just the Void Incursion, which has a good few of them. I must've had good luck earlier.

The snapdragon is similar to mail muncher, it may take tons of attempts but I got lucky and found the first snapdragon after at least 7-10 kelp openings

That is deeply saddening considering how long they’ve been around. I once did a BG with the toad as my main pet and the woolly kodo as the animal companion since the toad was the smallest and the woolly kodo which is still the biggest pet in wow. RIP life sized toad

Awww, it still looks small, but I guess not as small as it was.
It seems weird and random for it to be changed on purpose right now, but I dunno.
Maybe it's just a side-effect of a model update. - nope, the model hasn't been updated in 3 expansions, and I can't see any changes to the displayIDs for the dark toad colour either. Odd!

Found a beast I reported during ptr that I couldn't get the ID for back then, but I found it thanks to other online resources.
Deeplurk Snapdragon is in Ritual Site: Daggerspine Point. Wowhead also doesn't list all the skins oddly enough; the snapdragon has the
Red & Brown look, which I tamed so I know this as a fact. I know this isn't a fantastic new beast or anything, but hey; more info for documentation at least!
EDIT: forgot to attach the screenshot. It's up now.

During my search for the void snapdragon. I saw all of the colors, except blue since it doesn’t come in blue. This place is now a new easy way to obtain most snapdragon colors without unlocking nazjatar especially for alts

Thanks for pointing that out! We had that NPC in the database already but you're right that there are more colours than we listed. There are actually eight total - four that were previously unlisted. I guess they updated its appearance roster late in the PTR.
