Wow, my friend and I are the butt of pet jokes because we are always wanting new pets but feel horrible about abandoning one. I cant wait for 20 spots to feed our obsession. LOL

I take the 20 slots, and know I will fill them.. Money.. Yes it will cost, but can make that in dailies and AH. My dread on lower level hunters, is the amount of grind you need to do to keep all the pets leveled. I BG a lot, with my lower alts, and struggle some times keeping up 5 pets... Yes, I like using them all. Imagine having to do 20. Hehe.. I will do it though.

Right now I'm really hoping that we will be getting the 20 stable slots PLUS 5 active pets - I've already collected a list of 25 pets for both of my 80 hunters. <.< And that's just out of the pets that are already available...

^^^^^ This. This is what worries me. Blizz isn't one for giving 'freebies' in game usually so I have my concerns that maybe our 5 actives may be free but the remaining will cost.
I'm uber excited though!!! Finally get to have all my realeases back and some new pets!!

I don't quite think blizzard would make us pay for all 20 slots... at least individually, I COULD see them making us pay for like 5 at a time however.

It really doesn't matter...any hunter here will
gladly pay for 5 slots at a time. I know I would...lol....but let's wait until Cata comes out before we worry about that. In the meantime....ahem......

20 stable slots...hmmm, something tells me I am going to have to try to do as many dailies as possible to save up enough gold to buy them all!!
But what to fill them with....Well:
Definitly the foxes, get myself another fuzzy ghost worm, White lion cuz they might be going bye-bye (I should go net one now then) maybe nab the ghost saber just in case...hmmmm.....wonders off to go tame stuff.

posted about the new stable system on the beta forums today. (This was in response to a question asking how to get to the new stable because it doesn't seem to be in the game yet.)
We're in the middle of converting the stables over to the new model.
New model:
You have 5 active pets and 20 (or more) stable slots. You can summon an active pet whenever you want, out of combat. This replaces the remote stable spell. In other words, if you have a crab, a bear and a wolf, you can swap from wolf to bear in between encounters.
You must visit a stable master to change which are the active pets though. There are a lot of stable slots, so you can catch Spirit Beasts or rare spawns or whatever you want, even if you don't think you will use them often.
That sounds to me like 25 pets. (Or more, he said!)

Im really hoping this happens, but if all else fails, i can use my current 5 to tame things that are disappearing, and go re-tame what i had to get rid of once Cata hits. You know, do it like, the day before cata launch.

This, to me, means they're working on implementing this asap!!! At least I hope so. Hard not to be to overly excited and optimistic right now.
