I'll always use what I want to use. Even if there is a 'best pet' come Cata, if I don't like it I won't have one. Although with twenty slots, it's not like it'd kill me.
I totally agree. I had Gwyn (my ghostsaber) since I first found out about those guys. Treked all across Azeroth on foot to get him, then had the great joy of FINALLY spawning one... And an Undead killing it. And then me. After that, there was much grave camping and frustration until he finally gave up. And then I got to open bunches of statues again.
I had to give up two pets that I loved in favor of new ones once I reached 60. I said goodbye first to the very first pet I had ever tamed, a boring old brown bear who'd been renamed Astrid (from Shiota). Then I tamed Echidna, my (guess what!) chimera. ...I felt the name was justfied.
And then I gave up my hyena Lorcan to tame myself an albino devilsaur, who I named after my hyena.
Those two are ones I'm very much wanting to get back once Cata goes live. I don't regret getting rid of them, but I do miss them.
And just because people think Lorcan the devilsaur is a better all around choice than Gwyn, well. You try fishing when you've got an idiot dinosaur who likes to stand in front of your bobber. Trust me, you'll want the seethrough cat, too.

my king krush ofcourse , my raidleader told me its ok to do icc 25 BM untill sindragosa , then they want me MM for some reason , and then i can do LK with BM again =S

As I develop the story for Logan it looks more and more like the Mastiff I start with will be by his side most of time. However as i'm not on an rp server and wish to raid I will have a good selection of captures to aid him when needed.

Funny thing is now that every won't "have" to have wolves, I'll get one. Probably 2. Maybe even 3. I just love Timber and Ironjaw, and the Mulgore barking hounds are almost identical in looks and coloring to my RL dog Lucy.

i mean i got a wolf when i found out that it gives ya a AP buff, but and i totally fell in love with him ^^ got the wolf from SP...and it keeps changing his colors from white to gray and to gray to white ^_^ never gets boring

Grab a Sentry Worg from NW Icecrown and you can add black and brown to the mix.

I'm gonna miss Cunning DPS...
But then again, this means that I could actually get away with using a wolf. And I can do serious DPS with my Fjord Crow.
As for Tenacity, Cuddles the crocolisk will be at my side. And Sasha, my grizzly bear.
...Flamingostrider DPSing in raids is gonna be amazing. X3
