Edit: I love that hair colour on gnome ladies. I'm race changing my priest to a gnome in Cata, fo sho! With reddish-pinkish hair, hopefully one of those punk hairstyles we've seen for the goblin ladies. The off-centre bun or the 4 pigtails. She'll melt knee-caps.

Currently, they can be rogues, warriors, warlocks, mages, and death knights (well, yeah). ^_^ I love creeping around in the shadows below everyone's sightlines.

Taurens are going to be able to dual wield Gnomes. On a stick.

Cause Devilsaur's are still to bad ass to be made into weapons.

I'm pretty sure the only race that can be a gnome is a gnome. Gnomes can be a number of classes though, as Kalliope listed
