I'd love for them to leave it as a relic for the hunters who were around for the stable expansion.

My feeling is that he'll end up like the Sunreaver Dragonhawk did. D: The actually mob will be reskinned, but the tamed pet will stay as they are... Maybe Blizz will miss it. 8D

Eep, well that's made up my mind for sure. Before Cata hits I'll go tame Soriid juuuust in case we can keep that skin. I'll set myself up for disappointment, so if somehow we're allowed to keep it I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Well, if we can keep it out of the official forums, so it's 30-40 of us with him and not 3000-4000, we have a chance.

They will certainly nerf the size, but that's ok as long as we get an untameable skin. But after the first time it gets used in a BG, it will be reported, so we know the size won't stay...

So everyone with room go and tame him, and wait and see..

Everyone raged at Blizz because of that, I hope they don't do it to this little (huge?) jitterbug (tick?).

*nods* The size is hilarious, but I'm not concerned about losing that. It would just be neat to have that particular skin tameable. ^^ I'll try for it. If they fix it somehow then no harm done.

i think it would be better to just make the bloody skin tameable(just add it to that family) insted of doing this so that any hunter can get that skin and not make it one of the "unatanable" skins.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who DOESN'T want this to go live... As much as that is awesome.. I don't want Soriid to be the one getting a new model! My Blood Elf Huntress has her, and well... I LOVE her as a normal Silithid! And besides, her name, Gypsy, would not work for this new model...... I know, I know, I can always just tame another Silithid with the same look... But, I like having a rare spawn Silithid.

Let's not start that one again.. Good or bad is irrelevant right now for this.

Blizz certainly won't leave it that size. Will they let us get the new skin? who knows. This may well be another Spirit-totem-wolf again. But since you know about it, go and tame it if you want it. But it will be a long 6 months until Cata is out and we know for sure.

Balls my highest Hunter is 42 right now and on rest. I've still got a few I need to push up for other reasons (My Pally/Lock in case their epic questchain gets messed with) but I'll definately make sure she can get him just in case. If it stays the original model I'll just release but it's worth a shot.

Maybe I'm just loosing my mind but Soriid reminds me of Cthulu....oh I must be loosing it now.

But this really makes me fill with hope for seeing more Silithids around. Might give this one a spin once in Cata.

Well I didn't expect his much of a reaction to my post... but thanks for testing it for me

Part of me thinks I should never have asked the question now - but then, I'm sure someone else would have anyway...
We'll see when Cata goes live!
