Onyxia and Nef are back as undead dragons anyway. Ragnaros was never killed, just defeated and sent back to his fiery world...

I'd heard about Cenarius coming back - and thats fine... as IF any Orc could kill him anyway...
C'thun I heard about on another post here, but not seen anything about it myself.

I assume he's in Uldum then?

I haven't read this whole thread, but on the topic of Cenarius returning, I think it's just fine. As Quintus Horatius Flaccus (better known as the poet Horace) said "You may drive out nature with a pitchfork, but she will always return" and Cenarius is the very embodiment of nature, and you can't kill nature. You can cut it down, burn it, poison it but it will always grow back somehow and somewhere.

Roots can go very deep and when you're the god of nature, those roots are not necessarily bound solely to the earth in which they grow.

Finally someone explains it the right way  Cenarius is VERY much a god.

Is it C'thun coming back though? I still can't find where they say that the Old God in the Highlands is C'thun. :( Also considering they're pretty much revamping and revisiting the old world it seems like a good place to bring them back if they wanted too. Wouldn't make sense to bring these figures back in some other expansion. Personally it may seem like too much but if they can space it out and not cram it all into a few zones it just might play out well in the end.

C'thun is merged with Cho'gall (or however you spell it), it all happened in the comics :)

Oohhh well then, I really need to find the comics. I hate how they put so much into them and not the game anymore. :(

Actually, he is just resurrected by Cho'Gall, but his influence spreads over to him, and makes him look an awful lot like him. They're still separate entities.

, No he isn't, he's a DEMIgod, that is, a mix of mortal and god. The whole "he's a god, you can't kill him!" doesn't work, because he isn't! His spirit might live on, and might be returned to his body, but he's not a god.

Well even as a Demigod, in WoW lore, their Demigods are considered Eternals and are immortal though not all immortals are not Eternals.

Even then, an eternal isn't a god. Just because you're immortal doesn't make you a god.

Ok fair enough, he isn't a God. Though he still is revered as one by many and is an immortal being.

That I can agree with. It's just all the people saying that he's a god that kind of got to me. Immortal and revered, yes, but no god.

Well, knew it was something like that, I got very quickly tired of that storyline in the comics, and is why I don't read the WoW comics anymore ;)

Mmmm, the way I interpereted the dragon aspects, they're more guardians and overseers than gods. They watch over nature, taking action when things go awry and the balance of things get upset, but not really controlling nature per-say.

Strictly speaking, Azeroth only has immortals then.

How many times have you ran the way graveyard -> corpse?
How many times have you been ressurected?
How many times did the spirit healer return your life?

Then why shouldn't a dragon or demigod come back?

Even rabbits respawn all the time! ;)

Well, Kara, in the lore, resurrection is hard and time consuming, not just a five second cast that costs 16% of your mana... That's just for gameplay reasons.

Yeah, Avianna is back too. And Goldrinn. I'm trying to remember if I encountered any other spectral thingies on Mount Hyjal....

Its like movies Saturo....they're making a smurfs movie. That's when you know people have run out of ideas... They should have died in the 80's. Its easier for blizz to resurrect old skins, lore, chars, and so on than it is to make new ones. Pure lazy, but I'm ok with it since it'll be reallly awesome to play beside some of those big lore figures.
