A bug. The game thinks it's the original mob. It even displays the name King Krush, even tough it's probably named something else.

I've seen that happen a few times, but normally it's just big for a second when I first log on, and then it immediately shrinks back down to normal size... I did once see a hunter (with a devilsaur) who had this effect "stuck" in the on position... not sure if it showed that way on his screen (he was alliance so i couldn't ask him), but it was quite an awesome sight.

Sigh...

Oh really??

I doubt this. Otherwise you would hear of tales of having King Krush spawn 30 minutes (as example) after the previous one because of the dailies resetting.

1:45AM KK spawns
2:00AM dailies reset
2:15 AM KK spawns again

~just not plausible.

That's a rumor, but it's not true. Rares have a chance of spawning right after a reset, but it's definitely not guaranteed, and even then not every rare spawns all at once. Only a few are up at a time in Northrend (there's been some extensive research on this), so the one you're looking after may not be one.

It's certainly worth looking after a reset, just in case, but it doesn't grant much of an advantage really.

From this guys point of view its 3 rares are up at any time:

He's a bit obsessed with the TLPD and i guess has had raiding partys all at the same time combing the entire northrend for Rares to try and figure out more about them in general too

I figure this is true, since I've had a hell of a time finding Krush or any of the spirit beasts on the PTR for testing. It just seems like the cycles are at a standstill because no one's killing the existing rares and I can't bring myself to run around the ENTIRE continent killing them....on the friggin' PTR. -_-

I assume that on the beta, the spawns have been changed due to everyone being in the new areas, or no one would be able to tame the Northrend shinies. Right? D:

It's also worth noting that Tame Beast has been changed: It now only lasts 10 seconds instead of 20, and it no longer reduces our armor to nothing. So even if you have no haste at all, your tame will still be half as long as it is currently on live, giving Krush (and similar tames) less time to fear or kill you.

Yep! ALSO, it is good to note that all your armor penetration and intellect on your gear is going to be gone, so you're going to automatically get some more haste (and hit...I'm well over 9% on the PTR now -_-) on your gear thanks to the reitemization of existing gear.

9%? I'm at 11% hit and 51% crit! XD

Swapping around my gear to full PvE and making sure no crit pet out. ;)

BM: 7519 ap, 9.27% hit, 67.52% crit, 20.56% haste
Marks: 6616 ap, 9.27% hit, 67.52% crit, 20.56% haste

Good lord, 67.52% crit? And the crit buff from devilsaurs/wolves doesn't show on the char sheet.

Amusing that my AP as marks is lower...

on the PTR has all stats been converted to AGIL and whatnot then?

10 second tame... thats going to make it a bit easier in a good way ~ wonder if someone will make a macro with a Corehounds Bloodlust/ abandon/ tame beast.

Yep, those are PTR stats! :)

Been looking for Big Green on the PTR, but no luck. I bet I could solo tame him easily now, though.

Then make it even HARDER to tame, make it hit harder, kill our fear immunity, and make it so we NEED help. That really screws over quite a few hunters, and they should at least put in another skin somewhere. What about in Un'goro? Frost trappable green dinosaur named Prince Crush?
I like that idea :D

and so true though krush is hard enough to get already

... at the very least, on Moon Guard US... it is not true... from personal testing for the last few nights.

and I desperately need some sleep now... as well as the Lime Green King of My Dreams (tm)

I'm not sure if this helps, but on the PTR Aquillian's haste makes his Tame Beast only last 5 seconds or so. You may be surprised by yours, I know I was. O.o

Wow in that case I will never have to learn that crazy abandon/beastial wrath macro type thingy. This will make taming THE BEAST and King Krush much easier if its only 5 seconds.

I'm happy.
