Just did Zalazane's Fall on my DK named ßarbossa, got some SS of him as a troll and a few with him beside Vol'jin. Really wish Blizz would have fazed it so we could do it on our own. T-T But this will have to work.

Did Operation: Gnomeregan as my main, a gnomie :D Twas lots o fun ^^

Went to go help out the trolls with Eribess, my belfy, but couldn't get the last quest QQ ...Have to be 75+ to grab it..annnnd Bess is only 69 Lol Ah well I'll do it eventually.

Also...I like how we get a feat of strength but the things you get as a reward aren't that cool =/ Would've been cooler with a mount/pet/title/tabard/somethingotherthanauselesswhitecloak

Anyway!! I thought it was fun :D

Did the Zalazane quests on my hunter and OMG I absolutely LOVED them! <3
Other than my worgen, the first thing coming out of Cata for me is a troll druid, definitely.

Oh I know, I'm debating whether to race change my kitty druid to troll... <3

Rottingham, I think this event will go until patch 4.0. You definitely have time.

I was at my boyfriend's place out in the country today, when his sister told us that she got a letter in the mail from Vol'jin's shammy friend. We raced back to my place to do the quest (no network-enabled internet out at his place). My Mom thought we were crazy; this coming from someone who rushes home from work to check on her crops in Farmville. :p

Anyway, really, really fun quest. Though I agree, the cloak kind of sucks, you can pick up a Sen'jin talbrad from the Argent Tournament and *pretend* it came from here, if you really want. The item that turns you into a troll is really cool though, especially for rp (i.e. Cerah, an Orc, has a Troll husband, Seabaston. She's wondering now how he'd react to this buff).

Overall, awesome event! I'm taking my Troll mage there next, then power-leveling my 'lock from 72 to 75 so she can complete the quest line tool :)

I have only gone far in my level 33 ally hunter to turn in some of those quests. It was quite fun escorting those gnomes. It was like your own army, and if you're a hunter, that's even better.

I got the transform gnome item, which is better than nothing, I guess. In the midst of me being a tiny gnome, being even smaller than Eclipse, I took some pics. It was funny to FD as a gnome.

Did the quest today as well. It was amazing!
Trolls have always been my favorite race, and I think they really needed, and deserved this kind of attention.
Here hoping for more voodoo madness in cata
/cheers

On a separate but related note: This quest did make me sad, because I had to see low level npc's running around on that beautiful Ivory Raptor mount that I'd give both legs, both arms and my right eye for :(

Aside the last quests which are part of the final battles on both sides (those are level 75 or higher), all other quests can be done at level 1. I know cause I did it on my male blood elf priest who I blocked his xp gain during the summer festival to go steal all alliance capital's fires to get the crown at level 1. And with the tokens I got from turning in the fires I got enough to buy the robe, which has a /dance effect that fires up your hands. I can officially say that my priest is indeed flaming! :p

Hmm, has anyone tried if the tiger matriarch is tameable? I'm currently waiting for someone to come and do the quest so I can beast lore, but wondering if it has already been tried. TipTac shows her as Cat instead of Beast, which could imply that she was tameable.

Edit: Damn, managed to bug the quest. XD I abandoned it after killing the matriarch and now that I'm trying to do it again the Matriarch sometimes appears, and then fades away, as if she was in a different phase. :P Go me.

Edit2: A relog seems to get rid of the problem.

After spending some time trying to get around having to be in the cat spirit form to have her to spawn, I've come to the conclusion that you can only spawn and even SEE the Matriarchs while you're in the costume. :< The moment you leave the form, you end up in a different phase than where the Matriarch is. I left the form when she was hitting me and she would become invisible and untargetable, but still keep fighting me. :P Do it when targeting someone else's Matriarch and both the other player and their Matriarch will phase away.

Finished the ally side event. Was fun ^^
Got impatient and jumped down the elevator shaft before I was supposed to, so had to wait a few mins for them to catch up though.. :P

But noticed one annoying thing: The drape is now a cloak, apparently... which looks like bad news when it comes to custom or faction drapes over normal cloaks :(

I believe this was just the first part of it, it seemed a bit boring Gnome side, but it was a good place to work on raising weapon skills I guess.

I guess I had my hopes up of going all the way to get Gnomer back, I hope theres only a couple of phases for this quest line.

I couldn't possibly see how, it is a pretty amazing battle, and the voice acting was awesome. Chasing Zalazane all over the island was fun, then watching Bwansamdi roflpwn him when he goes all 'you can't kill me I'm invincible' was pretty funny too :P

Oh wow. That sort of thing bugged out the event on my server, forcing a reset and a number of deaths. T_T

That's exactly what I mean. There was nearly as much dialog to the event as there was combat, it was kind of long winded. Chasing a troll all over the place wasn't a issue either. Zalazane himself could have been a better encounter, and to top it off, it was left to a npc to actually kill him, and made sound he could have just gone ahead and done it without us burning him down anyway. I wanted to kill him, not leave it for a npc i've never heard of to do it *shrug*

That's just me, I'm glad others did enjoy it better though :)

I think having Bwonsamdi show up directly was awesome, but I've always followed Troll lore and been interested in the parallels it draws from real Haitian Voodou. Baron Samedi is the loa of the dead, so the reference there is obvious. I knew Bwonsamdi existed in WoW lore already, but I can see people being confused if they hadn't studied Troll beliefs.

The same bug happened to me. I was grouped with my boyfriend doing the quests, he got his tiger killed first and got his quest done. My tiger was at 30ish% and despawned and I phased out stuck in panther form. Relogged also fixed it but that was annoying.

I enjoyed the troll event, being the major troll lore fan I am. Being on an RP server people were rping the whole attack in troll accents. Great time!

Haven't done the gnome event yet.

I really wasn't a "team player" in any of the events because I hate wasting ammo on mobs that don't drop anything and the buff didn't extend to the pet.
But for lore sake the events are okay.
