YES, i was hoping these would become tameable.
Im thinking the size is a bit buggy right now, but it does look very cute right now.

Ugh, the size irks me to no end. It's just like those awesome spikey spiders that shrink down so much that they're barely intimidating. But on the other hand, SHALE SPIDERS AW YEAH.

"Hi Mom! Lookie how I'm holding six or seven mobs at bay for you! I'm down here! See how great I am?! Mom?"

What lvs are they fond at?
I hope they stay small to, somehow its more fitting for them...though even if thay do get bigger I'll be getting one.

I wonder what the Spiky Raptors will look like? I'm sure Blizz is waiting until Release to put lots of new models in. But with how great these Shale Spiders look...It will be hard to top!

These spiders make for wonderful tanking. Even at level 83 they sport 70k health and hold aggro impressively.

They also make the most adorable squeaking sounds when they attack. Help me, but I believe I've discovered my favorite Cataclysm tenacity pet in the form of something I fear in real life.

(Then again irl spiders aren't made of shale, haha)

Their sounds are just adorable. Was a complete surprise when I first heard them, but man are they ever cute. :3

Is the shale spider rendering bug in login screen fixed yet?

Yes. Shale spiders now show up on the character screen. So the crit errors it that used to crash the game when you tried to select a hunter are gone. (Hunters still have a chance to massively lag out when they log in though. )
