ugh, my only problem with scaling mount speeds is, when I want to run with someone who has a slower mount (ie: a lower-leveled guildy, for example, or an alt on 2nd account), it will mean having to stop every 10 feet to let them catch up.

The PTR client is separate from your old client. Are you sure you have installed addons for it at all?

Yes. As it stands, I can't even get anything to happen from /script (or /run). Even a simple
/run DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("hello?")
doesn't do anything for me. I don't even get an error message.

Question is, is that because I've yet to download whatever glue links up the addons/"slash handlers", or because it's been disabled?

Main reason I hopped on to the PTR was so that I could start work on updating the addons I maintain in preparation for the 4.0 drop. Right now I'm feeling defeated. Boo.

That can't be good... especially after I finally just got around to building my own addons...

Just an FYI in case someone else is interested:

No, addons in general should work on the PTR.
Yes, /run and /dump are currently disabled though they shouldn't be. There's an addon to fix it (called ItsAllCogwheelsFault).

If I'd actually installed more add-ons than just my development support I might have noticed that myself. Silly Anyia.

Recount, Omen, DBM, Bartender, SexyMap, and Bagnon all work on the PTR.

Edit: I don't use ItsAllCogwheelsFault

You only need ItsAllCogwheelsFault if you're using macros with /run or /script in them (or using said commands interactively).
