Makes sense to me, Alterac was always a bit of a strange little zone that seemed awkwardly segmented.

The Hinterlands is very easy to do. Not a lot has changed. WHITE WORGS EVERYWHERE!!!!
(Yes, I'm purposely avoiding Silverpine and Gilneas for now)

Aren't there any spiders in Shadra'alor any more?
First time I saw Shadra emerge from the lake in there I got really creeped out!

Nope, no spiders in shadra'alor. A lot of them have been moved to the ruin north of the altar of zul. Spawn of Shadra are in the cave atop Jintha. They gave shadra a new model awhile ago, so it's possible she's still summoned via a quest somewhere.
