Zhevra and other ungulates! I thought we were going to get these with the Exotic Pets talent back when it was first mentioned in Wrath Beta and was crushed that it never happened. I've never really understood why we couldn't tame them to be honest. The whole "they're a mount" argument seems weak to me.

I agree with Hydras. But I'd like Zhevras the most. I think I'd give my entire stable for one. I'm an equine lover!

The fact is...it's not weak because I think they're keeping it realistic on that level. A hunter MOUNTS a horse and rides it. A horse has no hunting instincts what so ever because they don't hunt. They flee if a predator is near. They only fight if necessary, which against a well armed, pro predator....the horse would be killed. So equines are kinda out of the question and I see why it wad denied. It'd be cool but it wouldn't make any sense. :/ Most if not all the pets we can tame are predators of some sort or have some sort of way to fight. Equines don't really have much. They were meant to run. Running really doesnt help the hunter much.

That's just two cents from another equine lover. I love me some horses. I'd never send them into the jaws of death.

Humans arent pro predators. XD Especially not a priest. Also Zheveras are neutral. XD

Almost all are. A few are wrongly classed as beasts. I leave a bug report when I find them. One in Winterspring comes to mind.

What I would want:

Pythons (the regular snakes)
Rats
Shoveltusks
Ants
Pterrodax
Stags would be ok
Penguins
Chi Dragons (remember the olympics chinese dragon vanity pet?)

I won't get into what I don't want

I'm on board for hydras and basilisks. Isn't a crocolisk half basilisk already? Why can't we have em if we kinda already do...? =/

It kinda hurts my pride as a hunter that a wolvar can tame a proto drake but i cant even look at them. Only thing i can see as to why is blizzard is either taunting us or they are more attuned with nature than my NIGHT ELF.

Proto drakes (beasts)
Scarabs (were getting beetles close enough)
Buck/deer (nice rend ability or a speed increase)
Hydras (i've wanted since i started this game in vanilla)
Horse (maybe in the deer family idk)
Pterodax (its same model as bat and chimera let us have one already)
Wyvern (orcs have them as "pets" already let us all get them)
Kodos (thunder lizard or not)
Clefthoof (its a rhino come on blizzard)
dinosaur spirit beast (raptor, devilsaur or pterodax)
the shale flayer things in outlands (humanoids but they look like beasts)
critter snakes (non hooded snakes)
pet bear that looks like tauren druid form (who doesn't want a bear with horns?)
all silithid bugs tamable (all but "ant" and "brain bug" models in cata)
first boss in AQ 20 (what ever he is)
fen striders
the bear mount that has the saddle and decorations on it.
Sea lions (northrend model ones)
and lastly penguins (king ping!)

When I started WoW I didn't know neutral meant they didn't attack you. I avoided them and thought I was just lucky that I didn't get mauled.

Relevant picture of Blizz's cruel sense of humor toward people hounding about additional pet families... Mobs taming them <3.

Where do wolvar tame proto drakes? I know they've been spotted taming SHOVELTUSKS, but not protos.

Beasts I would love to see made tameable?

Stags/Zhevra/Mustangs/Giraffes - I believe all of these would fall into the same, if not a similar category. I've wanted a Barrens Giraffe for ages. And after being horribly mutilated by a band of roving Zhevra at low levels, I can't believe those wouldn't be great and vicious hunter pets. Equines have been trained for war for centuries, taught to trample, bite and lash out at enemies. Why wouldn't a Hunter be able to train an equine to do the same?

Hippogryphs!! - YES. DO WANT. I even have the exact model and a name picked out and everything. I've always loved hippogryphs, from way back in Vanilla when I dreamed of having them as mounts. I'd go out of my way to take flight points that had them instead of gryphons, I love them so much. I collect all the mounts with the hippogryph model, not being able to get the white Silver Covenant 'griff bothers me to no end.

Gryphons - I'd be more on the boat with these if they came in different skins.

Three of the beasts I asked for will be implemented in cata - beetles, (silithid) wasps and helboars

Here are the others I asked for in the hunter suggestions thread:

Nerubean skitterers and flappers (cool in general and would look ultracool next to an undead hunter)

burrowers from hellfire peninsula (updated to include an "aboveground" graphic and added to worm family - these look much cooler than any currently tamable worm models)

Arcane wyrms from coldarra and dragonblight

Mana wyrms from outland

Faerie dragons from blades edge mountains

Pterrordax

Stegodons, thunder lizards, kodo (additions to the rhino family)

Dimitrodons (added to the croc family)

dragonblight grubs (added to the worm family)
