I seriously still believe Worgen will get mounts like everyone else either when Cata goes live, or a patch or two later. Plainsrunning didn't last past Vanilla Beta, after all. Until then, I'm going to be grinding rep with probably the Exodar (I happen to like Elekks), and riding my sparkle pony.

Thats because Plainsrunning was so majorly bugged. Running Wild is mostly ready to go. Only bug is that third arm on the female.

I also don't think that Worgen should get another factions mounts from the start. I understand why people don't like Running Wild, but as has been pointed out before, a lot of people can't stand their factions mounts. So I think Worgen should deal with this in the same way as everyone else does - suck it up until you have enough rep to buy a mount you like.

That said, I wouldn't be too surprised if Worgen got their own mounts sometime after Cata goes live because I have a feeling that Running Wild is just an emergency solution. Seeing how much trouble Blizzard has to get the Worgen themselves done in time, I think it's entirely possible that they simple didn't have enough time to make a mount. They may already have one planned that's still stuck in development hell.

Like or don't like Running Wild, I have to give them credit for doing something different. Nice to see in a sea of recycled stuff.

I doubt it, from what i'm seeing/reading Blizz is pretty adamant about Worgen and Running Wild.

I was thinking about this late last night, and I think I've worked it out.

The Worgen get their fast running form, which will count as a mount and thus even the odds a bit for them in the mount collecting race, especially if goblins only get two mounts.

For everyone else in the Alliance: They grind enough rep with Gilneas to buy a mount. But instead of a mount, one of the NPCs will end up being so impressed with their newfound friend, that they will volunteer to give them piggyback rides everywhere.

Tada, worgen mount problem solved!

(Or perhaps I shouldn't post when I'm exhausted after a night up with a sick child *runs off to get more coffee*)
