Just a new update, my friend sends me a scroll of resurrection, i'm playing Mass Effect 3 mind you, and figured "might as well fly over to storm peaks to park my shaman there for TLPD"

Before I even get to the camping spot, NPCSCAN picks up TLPD himself. I lose sight of him, frantically reload WOW and delete creaturecache, and the fact that i see TLPD flight paths when I close my eyes didnt hurt either (ingrained in me from this previous camp all that time ago)

After camping so much for the first one, I think its funny that my 2nd one was like this.

Congratz! ive not camped TLPD yet. but i do daily flyby! Seen a chorpse once and killed countless Vyras. Im currently Camping Aeonaxx on my Warlock Ersa ^^

I am utterly jealous.

Aeonaxx was cool and all (the fight was rather simple, chain lightning one shotted every welp), but in all honesty, I don't care for the mount much. Maybe if the mount was the same skin that Aeonaxx had I might like it better, but after flying around with it for a little bit I switched back to TLPD.

Finding TLPD a couple days earlier was more exciting for me. Probably because I have a long history of looking for him / camping for him etc.

Later at night I ended up finding another Mysterious Camel Figurine, I thought maybe this would be the one because of recent luck.... but it was another dud

Samskeyti I remember viewing your mega-board of all the fancy rare mounts you've achieved, I don't know if I'll have the patience to track down Poseidus, but I'm probably going to do some fly bys here and there for the Camel Figurine though as my next target (well in the next 2 days of playable time I have).

I think i'm 0 for 10 on those camel guys. They're funner to spot than swimming in Vash.

Sam do you have any special tips for tracking down that Seahorse?

if u want a stonedrake with the same skin as Aeonaxx u should farm stonecore. it drops from slabhide

I was very lucky with Poseidus as it was the week whn they put him back in the game with the mount. I just did a round every now and then, and on that tuesday I had a driving lesson in the afternoon and had 10mins spare so I did yet another round and there he was. Because noone really knew about him, or had a clue when he'd spawn, he could have been up for a while for all I know, but I've been doing the same on weekends and I never ever saw him again. I'd say, park an alt in Vashj'ir and to a round whenever you have a few minutes. You can fly, as height doesn't affect whether or not you'll detect a mob.

Same for the camel... random flybies, late at night or early morning, when not many people are on. Making a route with the routes addon really makes it simple, you just follow the line on the minimap.

Wait, so can you really just fly over the ocean to the spots where Poseidus spawns? (Would NPCSCAN would pick him up while flying above the water?)

Yeah the mystery of TLPD always captivated me too. I remember shortly after Wrath came out I saw someone who had that drake and asked about it and then flying aimlessly around in circles for hours in Storm Peaks shortly afterward (before anyone knew anything about spawns on him)

Yup, NPCScan will pick him up if you fly over. Its what most people do.

Routes, best addon ever

On one hand, you can let it make routes from gatherer databases (like, a herb or ore route), but on the other hand, you can make blank routes, so I've linked the Sambas and Karoma spawn points, the location of the raptor nests in Ungoro, made 4 coloured routes for each of time-lost's paths... a route linking all of Poseidus' spawns... if you have any troubles with it, I could make a guide, it's hard to explain just in text.

I think it looks pretty self-explanitory. I looked it up on curse. I think I'll attempt to make a Camel route maybe later tonight.
