Stop bickering like twats. I didn't help at all by adding my two cents, I am not ashamed to admit that, but you guys are supposed to set examples for how people should act on the boards. Besides, arguing over a children's game is just silly. They're dogs, they're beasts, they're magical fluffy donkeys...Oh, and they're full of candy! Who cares really?

Umbreon; Taluwen didn't start any form of argument. I've read both pages multiple times, saw nothing that started the dog talk other than Skoll being named Suicune. Hardly an argument starter.

Taluwen; As I just typed for Umbreon, I saw nothing that started an argument, just an opinion in the air.

As for myself, I just threw in my two cents. It was just that; my opinion pertaining to the topic at hand. While I did go a bit off topic with the linking and the whole nerd rage nonsense, I tried going back on topic pertaining to my bad taste in naming Loque after Mewtwo. Feel free to yell at me, remove my posting rights, whatever, but I'm throwing in my two cents again as a lurker who rarely says anything.



As of this posting, I did see some guy in Stormwind running around with a turtle named Blastoise. It was the ancient model, too. Not a moment later, saw a brown Devilsaur named Charizard. Brought a hell of a smile to my face.

A green name just means you have over 500 posts (or around that number). We're veterans, not moderators.

Naw. Purples are mods, hun. Green just means we post a lot around here. And I felt Umbreon attacked me for calling them as i saw fit, which others told her to stop being rude about it. So that would be an argument starter, by nagging on others for calling them as they've always known them and how they are commonly referred to.

But anywho, it wasnt supposed to be a big deal to begin with. I feel she made it one. She can have an opinion, thats dandy, but she doesnt have to be rude to people about it and always go "IM RIGHT YOUR WRONG". Making Facts out of an Opinion is impossible to do.

There's not much point in trying to point fingers at people, it's simply a matter of opinion. Everyone is entitled to theirs. Please don't continue derailing the thread.

XD Haha, would've loved to see that. I don't remember any particular pokemon named pet from my server, but the idea is still brilliant.

I wonder if Bliz has any plans on adding a blue Shale Spider some time later.

hmmm to bad there isnt a yellow one for Zapdos...what would zapdos be?

To bad we can't actually name Ghostcrawler, Kingler without putting a special character in... I've tried and the name came up reserved... I tossed in a ticket to see what was up, and the GM told me that the developers had that name on "Reserve"... I really wanted to name him Kingler since the day I caught him...

I toyed with the idea of pokemon themed names for my pets but decided I liked my current naming theme. However, since my current naming theme is nerdy/funny, pokemon names have come up as ideas. And I did name a white bear model Snorlax because of the "rest" special ability bears get that makes them sleep. Sadly I don't like any of the current bear models so I released him back to the wild.

I approve though; with all these pets we can have now I find it really helps to have a theme to name them.

XD I swear I just wanna hurt someone when I see the Three Beasts called "Dogs". It's usually the types that think everything that is furry and walks on all fours are dogs. That's why I hate eevees now xD

I've been playing pokemon since the original Red and Blue and now working my way through the japanese version of Pokemon White. Between that and Warcraft I have hardly any time for anything else! xD

I am very guilty of naming my Hunter Pets after pokemon. Hell I have a hermit crab named Crawduant! I've have Houndour, Houndoom, Crawduant, Kingler and several others. If I ever manage to tame Sambas he just may be my Entei. I have an Entei cell phone charm on my phone that gives me good luck..maybe it wouldn't hurt to have one in warcraft too, ne? ;D

Awe, that's really sweet and a really fun idea! They really should update the old bear models, or at least add an updated one like what the turtles. I love bears, but the current pet models don't give them much justice.
