He probably thought you were lying to chase him off--I would have said in the same line 'look it up on WoWhead.'
A fun place to chat about hunter pets in the World of Warcraft.

Yeah, it's pretty much this and I'd put the number higher than 70%. I've seen paladins, rogues, and druids parked at Madexx's spawn points, Sambas, Karoma and Jadefang (I can't blame them for Jadefang entirely though...), even Terrorpene! Yes, I ran into a shaman in Uldum who said if he had seen Madexx, he'd have a tear in his bag and a new screenshot for his trophy collection. Though I did laugh as most of general chat told him he was a butt if he did that.Ryai wrote:I think you misread my post. The reason I said there was hate for MMO and not for Wowhead, is the fact wowhead for the most part, as I said, lists the entire loot table for the rares. While MMO does not and Boub made no mention that the tamable rares DROP NOTHING. Edit: outside of Jadefang but the pet is bop so it really drops nothing after the first kill.
Seriously; Before MMO had information up outside of a couple other hunters, I saw only one other and it was a paladin camping for Sambas. By now Sambas had been on wowhead, but this is most likely why there were so few, because most people don't bother with wowhead and those that did were not greifers outside of well the paladin.
After MMO's flare for dramatics? Paladins and Druids EVERYWHERE at EVERY SINGLE SPAWN FOR SAMBAS. I couldn't go from one to another without tripping over like 3 druids from either faction and a paladin afk 'high' right over a spawn point. And this pretty much lasted a long while.
Hell even for Karoma I started seeing non hunters afking right over her spawn points.
That's what I meant about why most of us don't hate Wowhead, while we hated MMO. As like 70% of us all experienced a dramatic increase of non hunter campers. Tho thankfully it has eased somewhat.
For your friends sake, or roommates sake, please do stop this unless they are already signed on. Knowing their password is against the ToS and you CAN get them banned because of you just doing this.Vetiver wrote:well, i have two roommates, and all of our computers are in the same room. whenever one or both of them are out of the house in class or work (and i'm not) i turn on their comps and use their toons to camp spots for me with the speakers turned up.
No.Royi wrote:MMO did a good thing by explaining that these new tameable rares do not drop anything of significance.

I do blame the DFs at mmo-champ for getting the rare tamables onto many 'tards rarefinder lists.^_ I lol'd. And that is only because I don't know anyone who's actually managed to kill that crab. I'd love to see screenshots and hear the stories though.Celi wrote: And I cry because I know the rogue who said he killed GC. He has a hunter.
