I thought you might find it interesting: on the PTR, I did a Karoma sweep. Either someone's been playing clean-up, or all the highland worg spawns have been removed from south of the river! Maybe only temporary, but...

Not only that, but if you skin them, it aggros every bear in 40 yards.

I actually think the spirit beasts are pretty well-done overall, although some need work in certain places. But I think Gondria is great--with her glow, the mist, etc. I think she's gorgeous to look at, although of course I recognize that not every pet is to everyone's taste!
The only one I think needs MAJOR work is Loque, what with the tiny tiny neck next to HUGE shoulders. Looks like his head should fall off

But I do like the rest of him
For everyone knocking Karoma--WHY? I LOVE it. ALWAYS wanted that beast, but Blizz made it untameable because it didn't "fit the image" of a hunter. Now that there's Spirit Beasts, they recognized a place for it so people who wanted it could get it without diminishing the value of the already-tamed wolf versions or going back on their own words. I think it was a fantastic idea & comprimise.

Not everyone is going to love every single pet model/race/species in the game. That's just a given.

You're right, everyone's tastes are different
I dunno. I think Gondria could've been gorgeous in a certain way. I just feel she got shafted in comparison to the other high quality standards I believe Wrath set up. But her undead-steed particle effect doesn't distract me enough from the fact that they picked a bad model to be so transparent. Square paws and shoulders are a no-no! D:
I think Loque's build is perfect. I think that's the reason I love him so much, but I can see how the "starving animal" look bothers people XD I just consider it streamlined.

This about sums up how I feel.
When I first saw Gondria come out, I was like "ew" and my feelings for her haven't changes. I hate Arcturis as well. The "ghostly" look they gave the two of them doesn't appeal to me and I hate the NE bear druid model so blegh for me.
I understand that there's others out there who love these guys as pets and I'm really glad for it; they can give those two the love I never will.

Mine was "WOW, I am SO camping for that" and I still love to look at her--I just think that I have a hard time really clicking with ghostly pets.

There's only ever been like 1 ghosty pet I ever clicked with, and that was ghost wolves.
But I understand the "WOW I MUST CAMP FOR THAT!" sentiment. I was like that with Loque'nahak. I still love to just look at him, even when I'm running sometimes I'll move my camera to the side and just admire his gorgeous run animation. To this day there is still no other pet that brings me more loving joy than my Loque, so I do understand how the Gondria lovers out there feel =) And I'm glad there's a cat for them to enjoy!

I typically don't like ghostly models at all (lookin' at you, ghost saber), or "pretty" colors, but for some reason, I love Gondria. She's just so beautiful, with a soft yet feral feel about her. I've had both her and Loque'nahak and while Loque'nahak is more popular by far, I just didn't love him like I love Gondria, so I released him.

I was actually really surprised to fall in love with Skoll. I love Loque, I really do, but for some reason, even though I hate the Northrend worgs, Skoll kept calling to me and I finally went out and tamed him. He rarely leaves my top 5 slots now while Loque usually sits in the stables. =(

I couldn't agree more. This started out as "this beast annoys me because of this frustrating situation" which was kinda fun. Now it's become pretty mean-spirited. Surprise surprise.

The title of the thread is "Creatures you've grown to hate?"...what part of that means that people in here are being hostile for no reason?
Everyone hates something about some aspect of this game, obviously. You can't love every teeny tiny bit of it. Some of us hate, or strongly dislike, some creatures more than others; that doesn't mean I hate others who have those creatures. I don't see anyone else here implying that either.

This exactly.
And honestly, I don't see anyone being all that unreasonable in here. If they hate bears, they hate bears. That doesn't mean they hate bear-owning Hunters. If they hate spiders because of their sounds, then that doesn't mean they hate a Hunter who uses one (unless you're in their group I'M KIDDING <3 ).
I think some people may be feeling a bit defensive about their pets, which is a natural feeling. I could be wrong, but this is the first thought that came to my mind. But I think people need to realize that regardless of whether people vocalize their "hatred" or not, the pet you own most likely is someone else's bane. That's just the way it is.

Actually, I thought the "wow, you know, there's really a LOT of unbridled hate in this thread.

You know... I used to work at a haunted house. We kept in touch with another one a few miles away, and from what I heard, they had what they called "the clown room." Basically, it was just a room during the haunted house--albeit a biggish one--where the group of victims walked through on their way to another hallway. The walls were hung with dozens of clowns, clown-suits, and clown toys--but at some point, two of them would suddenly spring out at the victims, actually being people-dressed-as-clowns. The first one was always obvious, and the second jumped out a second later from a slightly different side. They said a man ACTUALLY peed himself in there, and two women fainted, just in that room >.<
(I can believe it, I worked as a werewolf and got punched in the face once by some poor guy who had a terror-defense reflex

)

I'll be honest. Clowns terrify me. I wouldn't pee myself, but I would definitely punch a clown in the face if it jumped out at me.
Oh god D: I'm having nightmares already! And it's daytime!

Wolves, because I was forced to use them.
Bears, because they look like they are permanently crouching. (/sigh at my Arcturis)
Devilsaurs, because none are as great as Krush and he won't spawn for me >|

Hate is a pretty strong word. And I don't see anything particularly rude about this thread, just don't derail it to pet/player names etc. It's just a matter of opinion and there's no reason to get pissy if someone likes/dislikes something you don't/do.
I'm a little bit upset at the bear models, they could use a revamp. There is only one bear I ever enjoyed playing with, and it was my friend's rare tame Bjarn whom he named Baer. We did lots of roleplaying with that bear and it was absolutely hilarious addition to the group.

I'm not fan of any of the apes ingame and I'm not big fan of corehounds either. Used to use one at the end of BC, but the thumping and roaring got me really annoyed and the dog has been in my stables ever since.
I didn't really like Devilsaurs before I tamed Krush.

Pfft, who cares if someone hates a skin you love. I skimmed the first page and the last before posting and I saw a nightsaber stalker hater (black cat with white spots) and a Gondria hater and those are two of my favourite pets. That's why I happened to tame them and those people who disliked the skins didn't, I presume. XD Sure if I was running through SW and someone /spit on my pet I'd be a little bit "o.o" but yknow. Diversity!
Um, as for the original topic, I generally find that even if I hate a pet skin, and I tame it, I grow fond of them. The exception to that would probably be the fat hairy tarantula spiders, and also the large serpents (I thought I would like the serpents so I tamed one on my Goblin, and I don't know, maybe it was just the colouration but their face was ugly and I couldn't... unsee it). I'm not a fan of monkeys/gorillas irl and I've never tamed one in WoW either.

Reminded me a bit of the time when I got spat on the first day Swift Zhevra was implemented. Or the sparkly horse.

I did tame a black with white spots cat....got rid of it within 5 minutes. The color just didnt look right....hell doesnt even look black. Looks like an ugly purple to me so it really just rubs me the wrong way.
