*nods* There's a fine line between organizing and defeating the purpose of the forum at all.

Hopefully some accurate information on the new rares (and old rares with new spawn timers) will bubble to the surface so some of the old resource threads can be updated.

I know that I'm semi-new to the forum mainly because despite using Petopia as a resource for years I never noticed the little linky that said 'forum' until a few months ago.

The forums have only been around for about a year - a lot less than Petopia itself. I resisted the idea of forums for a very long time.

Were you part of her Blog? I was quite an avid reader of Mania's Arcania back before the forums... It's always fun going back to the archives of before the forums started and seeing all the faces I've come to know now.

I was around a bit of Mania's Arcania. Back then, I was Firewing. When I came here, I took Azunara as my name instead.

Like...I was around when Garwal came out. (I tried to soothe the flames of rage, for example. xD)

Exactly. We dont really NEED all those extra sections. It'll make more work for the mods as it is and honestly? Spawn timers are usually posted on wowhead....or those "I tamed this!" posts will include how long they've waited.

There should be like a subforum in the pet forum for "I tamed this!" threads. Would mean that the Pet Discussion forums would have more pet discussion in them. So if someone wants to have a talk about I dunno "best tanking pet" or somesuch they wont need to go through 20 plus "I tamed KK" threads.

That's actually not a bad idea Cow. And when people post em in the wrong area, we can report em to be moved.
Hopefully the mods approve of that so that way we can still have those threads, congratulations can be made, and they won't clutter the rest of Pet Discussion. ^_^

I third Cowmuflage's idea. Why we didn't think of that before, I'm not entirely sure, but it really is brilliant.

I fourth this idea. Maybe a "I'm happy about taming this particular pet for various reasons and would like to share my happiness with you all" thread. Thats a good name

Plus it can help put them all together because sometimes its hard to see what a thread is about simply off the Subject

Yes more so when its like all in CAP LIKE THIS!.
I really don't see why they did not have this in the first place.

Cow's idea is a sub-forum for "I tamed So and So" threads, not a single thread. It's been decided by the mods that a single thread for those posts is something they don't want.

Yes I mean a subforum as It was my idea for the thread it got shot down so I did more thinking

I think the subforum idea is a fabulous compromise.
