As much as I adore you Tyger, I cannot agree here because Mounts are the last thing on Blizzard's mind right now. If you haven't noticed, they're a little busy with classes, dungeons, and raid balance.

let's say i just bought wow today. it doesn't matter that alliance had an advantage at the end of the expansion before last. all that matters is that things are once again uneven because blizzard seems to hire different people to do each side, and those people don't seem to be communicating very much.

And what I've been trying to say is that it doesn't matter. What do the Alliance lose? Absolutely nothing. The achievement, which is the only purpose for as many mounts as exist in the game, is entirely doable without the mounts added in Cata. What do the Alliance gain? A brand new mechanic that has never been seen before and they're ungrateful (for the record, Running Wild =/= Plainsrunning; they're not even close to the same).

If you're new and just bought the game, you're not going to know whether there's imbalances anyway, especially if you started Alliance and not Horde; that's an invalid argument.

This thread is about mounts, not everything else that you think is imbalanced. Guess what? People have been crying foul over the other faction for years. You say you don't care because you play both factions, but you obviously do. And guess what? Blizzard WILL fix it, you know they will, it's part of their track record, yet you'll bitch anyway.

And what you people crying foul are choosing to ignore is that Blizzard WILL fix. Get your panties out of a bunch and enjoy your completely brand new mechanic, they'll give you your mounts when they feel the more important aspects of the game are taken care of.

TWO bloody mounts is not important compared to the other stuff that's been happening in the game. The achievement is more than obtainable, and it means one less rep to farm. Not exactly game breaking.

I think this discussion's starting to go around in circles, and seems to become a little more argumentative at each turn. I'm going to lock the thread as everyone's stated their point and it's just devolving into banter.
