oh another thing I just saw in patch notes for the new patch for Rift:
"Free In-Game Character Transfers"
Seriously? Free? IE NOT paying $25.00 / $30.00 for them???

Robo-horse? I can haz?!?!?! I'm guessing it's a Defiant-only thing. Sadface. Guardians only get actual horses.

Defiants have real horses and robo horses. Not sure if the Guardians can get the robo ones; probably not though since machines are sort of the Defiants' thing.

My brother and I made Defiants on an RP realm. I rather like the Defiants so far.
Here is Eluvian, a Warlock/Archon/Chloromancer. The pics aren't in the best lighting. As I was taking some of them, a Death Rift appeared behind me, lol. Great tentacled fun! (The first pic was on minimum settings by accident.)
Through the antlers of my vaiyuu -
AMG, death rift!

My mage is level 12, just got there today. We had a huge Death Invasion tonight that was pretty fun. My warrior's level 21 now I think (I took a break from the PC in general for about a month). I know, I'm not level 50 so I don't have a bunch of Rift experience under my belt, but right now, I have a blast with the rifts and invasions.
Out of curiosity, is there a reason you asked that? You almost sounded sarcastic but I could be reading that wrong.

oh just curious. my warrior is only 15 because i had a horrible problem remaking characters over and over again because I'm still undecided on which class i really want to play as a "main".

Well, until Rift decides they want my filthy, corrupted, Mac-tainted money, I won't be playing their game.
Regardless of whether or not I might possibly -want- to add another game (I can't see leaving WoW, but I do play other things from time to time), the 'OS elitism' I see in MMOs infuriates me almost beyond the capacity for rational thought. Blizzard has ALWAYS supported both operating systems, as has EA (I do loves me some Spore even if all I do is play with the creature maker), and given that the guts of both machines are Intel, the only reason (and I mean THE ONLY reason) to not support both is sheer, blind, shortsighted arrogance.
Fine. You don't want my money, Rift? I will keep giving it to Blizzard.
PS: Your graphics are too far into the Uncanny Valley and look like dead-eyed dolls. Thx.

Yeah thats one thing that annoyed me about RIFT and even upcoming SWTOR. I had to devote roughly 100gb of my hard drive just to my Windows Partition on my MAC to run this game in bootcamp (i wanted extra space on the partition to allow the game to run smoothly). I loved how WOW runs on MACS though, and I wish more developers would take notice about the MAC-Gamer community out there. I definately feel where you're coming from Nacht.
Bootcamp is pretty nice though, very easy to setup at least. Just another step though thats required by the customer...

Honestly, as long as people go 'well you can just run bootcamp' or whatever, the MMO companies won't change their lazy ways. Nevermind that running it in bootcamp is both inefficient AND requires me spending additional money I don't feel like lining Bill Gates' pockets with.
No, if I wanted to use a PC, I would. I don't, so I'm not going to. Not even a fake one. (Mind you, I'm attached to the OS but not necessarily the hardware. The iMac is NOT really a practical gaming machine since it overheats like you wouldn't believe... on WoW. I dread to think how hot this thing would run in SWTOR or something. Next machine is definitely going to be a hackenmac, so I can have my OS and a decent box to run it on.)

Ah, these are not European I suppose?:(
For all those Mac users out there, you can use Crossover games for RIFT ( as well as others games)
It works wonders, Mac os is not toucshed by killer windows and you still play

do recommend
